Schonbek crystal chandelier advice
Comments (8)BUMP So we found a beautiful chandelier locally- Trilliane. Incredibly pretty. The sales person and owner of the small local lighting company told us that it is similar to the much larger version of Trilliane that he placed in his new home. He had a Spectra model on the showroom floor. It is the correct size for our dining room. However, he stated that he saved up for three years to buy the Elements model for his own home and he suggested that for the money it was worth delaying the purchase and waiting to come back and buy the Elements version if our budget allowed. His price is extremely good, but still ridiculously expensive. Can anyone comment on whether the coating on Elements crystal is that much more brilliant and refractive than Spectra? Really looking for some assistance here. It's a big purchase. Thanks!...See MoreAnyone have a Schonbek chandelier or sconce?
Comments (5)Yes, that is very helpful. I am actually considering sconces for two rooms. The study would have the rock crystal sconces on either side of a large pointilist painting above the fireplace; and the family room would have the combination olivine and rock crystal ones above the sofa. The study is pretty formal, with large diameter wood curtain rods in a dark, muted antique brass. The family room has thin, wrought iron curtain rods that appear black from viewing distance. My preoccupation with the Schonbek finishes has to with wanting to be sure that they look alright with the curtain rods. The family room is sort of phantasmagorical Bohemian meets Alice-in-Wonderland: Zimmerman sofa, a different series Zimmerman chair and ottoman, Oriental rug, print curtains, stone fireplace, 18th c Lyonnaise armoire, etc....See MoreStunning Schonbek Chandelier under $400

But I love it. the best way to figure out if it will bug you is to use painters tape on the top of your table. if it looks too small to you there, it will look too small hanging....See MoreJAN MOYER
