Lavender crush at Walmart
Comments (129)Kristine I agree! While i was super excited to get my first Queen Elizabeth, I wish there were more options! I went to Walmart on a whim and thy just happened to have just finished setting up the roses so I got first pick. Joseph’s coat, LC ( woo hoo! Got another, but there were only like 3 in the shelf compared to a dozen or so of other types), Joseph’s coat, gene boerner, iceberg (I know it’s a BS magnet but I almost feel obligated to try lol), robusta, Don Juan and carefree beauty. But other than that it seems flooded the same few types....See MoreFinally !!!! Lavender crush
Comments (28)Thank you for verifying my gut instinct. I was so thrilled just to have Ascot that I put her in the most visible spot with a lot of space around her thinking she'd look great with Star's yellow tone. Then they all bloomed and my heart sank, until FR bloomed and she looked so pretty there. It's amazing what a slightly different colour can do to make things seem natural. I plan to also plant Teasing Georgia on the other side, but as also a small cutting, I'll wait until next year to decide. I have a good new spot for Ascot where she hopefully won't clash with Florentina way in the background. This is crazy! I just barely have this huge bed planted, and I'm already planning changes! : )) Lilly, be sure to post some pics when they're in the ground just to get an idea. I love seeing the evolution....See MoreLavender Crush Climber
Comments (5)Well I hate to be a party pooper but my body bag Lavender Crush has been a total dud. Second year in the ground and it's still the same size it was a month after I planted it. Has been watered and fertilized three times this year and doesn't grow. Produced three tiny distorted quarter size flowers and just sits there. Gets BS and defoliates regularly. On one side is a huge Princesse Charlene de Monaco I planted this spring and on the other side is an ownroot bareroot Crown Princess Margareta I planted also this spring that is already 5' tall. LC is out of here next year and I will probably not replace it with another even if I was to find another. Body bags the end of August? It is in the high 80s low 90s here yet!...See MoreLavender Crush Question
