maxine04, plants are a lot like languages! You’d expect to speak English to a shopkeeper in the Us, or England, even Scotland and Australia. But in Scotland and Australia, it’s often nearly another language in meanings even where you’d understand the words. Likewise most plants for Australia are not suitable to Scotland. Many of those two countries plants are considered invasive pests in the USA. English fails to suit in Germany and France, in Bolivia and Spain and Libya. See the issue here? This is an ad-driven forum, targeting the US. MOST other countries have similar platforms focused on their regions, soils, and climates...and language. As you’re an English reader, there’s “Shoot” in England... It would only clutter gardening information, making it more difficult to access quality info, to “broaden horizons”.
