They were so healthy . I was so excited!!! I’m so glad I stopped , I ave been every week and it didn’t seem like anything new was even coming in . I needed more hose and am so so glad I went!!

I think if I want it to be happy it will be going in my front bed where i planned on putting celestial night . Who knows where he’ll go but that’s ok !

R - the peach tree has to go lol . It’s growing wonky , like bending over into the neighbors yard , we had two weeks of 1000 peaches and most rotted away. We gave some to neighbors, ate some bit didnt love them . I really mean it when I say I am out of room until husband gives up grass . Lol

lowes also had patio tree roses of intrigue and angel face . I really like those and wonder if they’ll do well?

Intrigue color is just so beautiful!! And I’m having a thing for purples so angel face really looked good

I had two and both died away as it is not cold hardy here. While I had it, both grow straight up with sturdy canes with good vigor. I would guess it probably can make a perfect standalone bush. That said, you are in CA, where roses gets gigantic.

I remember the blooms being fried terribly in summer, but not sure whether it would be a problem in dry heat.

Thank you everyone! I hope of your are looking for it you find it too. I’m going to try to grow it as a large shrub . It’s probably going to outgrow it’s space and wreak havoc on my little bed but I don’t care . I have Olivia , violets pride , cream veranda and arctic blue in this bed. I think they’ll look beautiful there!

farmer duck , it’s sad you lost two of them! I hope the shade from the nearby birch tree movifn in and out will protect my blooms. Who knows!! I’m so excited to try it . One thing , I can’t get any fragrance from it and I know it is fragrant! But not many of my roses really smell amazing here

Thank you Tina ! I can’t wait for my spring bloom in front of the house . I think it’s goomg to be so romantic looking , although incredibly out of place for california ( or at least my neighborhood! ) i only see one home in my neighborhood with more than one rose . I just watched a neighbor put in a cactus bed , which really made me wonder if I’m crazy for all my roses but I just can’t get behind the succulents yet.

I know, Lilyfinch. It seems like such a waste of sunlight and no BS!!! I'm LOVING my LC that I got this spring as a discounted bagged rose from Walmart. It took a long time to get established due to its minuscule roots, but is finally taking off! I'm so sorry you can't smell it because it is divine! I think its probably a very vigorous rose that likes to bloom. I have mine planted next to Cl. Clotilde Soupert and Gold Blush. I hope they play nicely together. Your combo sounds dreamy! I think these colours look super with your house.

While I have you here, I have a colour coordination/growth habit question (for next spring). In this huge long bed I planted Ascot next to Star of the Republic and Aloha. These are in front of LC and GB. However, I'm not liking Ascot here; it seems too bright a red. So, I have a growing cutting from a special rose friend of Flamenco Rosita that just bloomed and I'm in love! Do you think FR would look better? I see Diane's pics of Ascot and its so sumptuous in size, but I read it's more upright. I wanted something wide and bushy. does FR ever go orange red in the sun or does it stay that lovely pink/blue-red?

P.S. There is no such thing as overload. That in itself becomes a design type! : ))

Oh vapor , flamenco never ever has orange in it ! I think it would be much better next to star of the republic and aloha . I agreee ascot is not a good red for star in my humble opinion. My ascot was very upright as well . It started rounded and then as it grew started to only bloom on the ends. This spring before I knew we were moving I cut it way back to see if that helps but didn’t get to see if it helped. I had my ascot by sweet Francis and really loved those together!

Not to mention flamenco has the perfect shape too once it gets going! It is wise and bushy and never out of bloom once established!! You’ll be thrilled !

Thank you for verifying my gut instinct. I was so thrilled just to have Ascot that I put her in the most visible spot with a lot of space around her thinking she'd look great with Star's yellow tone. Then they all bloomed and my heart sank, until FR bloomed and she looked so pretty there. It's amazing what a slightly different colour can do to make things seem natural. I plan to also plant Teasing Georgia on the other side, but as also a small cutting, I'll wait until next year to decide. I have a good new spot for Ascot where she hopefully won't clash with Florentina way in the background. This is crazy! I just barely have this huge bed planted, and I'm already planning changes! : ))

Lilly, be sure to post some pics when they're in the ground just to get an idea. I love seeing the evolution.

Vapor, since I'm close to your zone, I can vouch for Flamenco Rosita's color staying true throughout the season. The blooms were fewer and smaller when it was in the high 90˚ - 100˚ range, but the color was the same as always. Never any orange.

Thank you, flowersrm! Have we seen your FR? I just love the name of this rose... it reminds me of my mom. It's funny because my garden helper saw the red opening bud and lambasted the name, saying it should be a pink rose! He was happy when he way the actual bloom and admitted it suited the name! : ))

This was a serendipitous save. I never expected Ascot to be quite so red!, but this sort of thing happens here a lot. ...thinking of Dark Desire and Milano.

Flamenco Rosita reminds me of my daughter-in-law because she's from Spain. I doubt I have posted any photos of this one because I can only find two in my files, and neither are good examples of the true color. I'll try to post the best of the two, but still not as pretty as she is in person. I'll have to try on my phone. For some reason, I can no longer post photos on my computer.

Hi, your LC is so gorgeous! I purchased one this year, but for confused with pictures people are showing, i like yours more. But some people’s LC are purple and white outside. I wonder is your LC a climber?
