I just took a quick look thru-the men look good-most of the women,who I am not familiar with,look terrible,IMO

I didn't watch, but I do like to look at the fashions. As is usual for these events some looked pretty nice, some were pretty questionable. There certainly was a lot of cleavage and bare shoulders.

The style of the narrow leg tuxedo trousers looks funny to me. It makes their feet look huge!

Margaret Qualley's dress is simple and elegant. She's Andie Macdowell's daughter.

How do these ladies actually walk around and some of them not have wardrobe malfunctions?

Tape. They make special tape to adhere fabric to your body.

I thought most of the gowns were train wrecks.

Two men with "no" socks" and a very fancy tux/suit! I don't like the no socks look unless it's with shorts. I still say, if you don't have IT don't flaunt IT. Women with necklines cut down to the waist is pretty if what ya got is pretty. IMO

I don't know who the majority of those people are, but overall I liked most of the gowns; some more than others.

I don't often see Kate McKinnon glammed up and I thought she looked fabulous. Her choice of gown was near perfect (neckline was a bit too low) and I loved the way her hair was done.

Julia Lewis Dreyfous' gown would have been pretty except for the neckline and I didn't think it looked good on her. I don't care for those plunging to the naval necklines as I don't think they flatter any body types which is what I didn't like about Julia's dress.

IMO, Maisie Williams, Margaret Qualley, Betty Gilpin, Joey King, D'Arcy Carden and Isla Fisher were perfectly put together. Wouldn't change a thing on any of them.

It wasn't a gown, but I loved the outfit Kerry Washington was wearing except for the ruffles down the front of her shirt. I did like the upturned collar on the blouse though. A plain while blouse would have made those pants.

My issue isn't so much the clothing as it is the messy and/or running around running errands hair. That look is fine for day time, but I think it looks terrible for a big night on the town.

I also like seeing the men experiment with colors and fabrics, but I'm not crazy about the stove pipe pant lets either. Somewhere between the baggy pants Trump wears and those super skinny pant legs would be just right. I'm not sure what Steven Canals was thinking though.

The gowns I really thought were just awful were worn by Natasha Lyonne (looked like an over the top business dress from the 80's), Mandy Moore, Indya Moore, LaVerne Cox, Taraji Henson (looked like a negligee), Carice Von Houten (ack!), Greta Lee, Dasha Planko, Zoe Kazon, Amy Sadaris, Kristen Bell, Gwendoline Christie (going to a Renaissance Faire later?), Lena Headey, Melanie Libird (lose the train and it might work)

Meant to add that despite the big floral print, I liked the look Kylie
Jenner was wearing. Not everyone could pull that off, but I thought she
did a fine job of it.

Margaret Qualley's dress is indeed simple and elegant. I just wish the photographer would have waited until she pushed that strap backup.

The asymmetrical look drives me crazy, unless it's obviously intended, like a one shoulder gown.

I really enjoy watching the fashions on the award show and usually tape it so that I can skip the speeches and commercials. I forgot to DVR it last night but after looking at these photos I don't think I missed anything.

Wow, I have no idea who 95% of those people are! Guess I'm not keeping up with the times.

I do know who Mandy Moore is - and she must've had a lot of tape to hold that top up! lol

I've never been into awards shows - but have enjoyed looking at the fashions the next day online.

Women aren't wearing sox why should the men? Man oh man am I glad I don't run in that world. The competition to be seen much be HUGE if these people really think some of these get ups are attractive!!!

I clicked for the fashion spectacle, I've no interest in the awards themselves. The pictures in the site linked seemed not the highest quality, I think. It was like the people were posing for someone else. Two or three gowns were lovely, a few more were "interesting," the vast majority were boring/uninspired. My opinion only.

Brittany Snow was very pretty. So many were too peek a boo and such awful, unflattering colors on the wearer that they were not attractive.

Awful dresses. Were I buying myself a new dress, I wouldn't give any of these loud, tacky dresses a second glance. They look like women desperate for attention.

I'm always amazed that with stylists and the dresses being "free", that they still end up wearing dresses that are unbecoming. They looked a lot better when they bought their own clothes, or the studio's design dept provided them.

I am thinking the next morning when their faces are scrubbed clean, wearing a pretty bathrobe, and relaxing and enjoying their coffee, they are happier and more beautiful. It must be very stressful to go through an evening like that, I don't think I would enjoy any of it.

The glaring red and pink combination gowns were pretty awful imo, some of the women looked like they really needed more support under the plunge, (or less plunge). I generally like imaginative and/or avant-garde get-ups but most of these didn't do much for me. Oh well, there's always the next award show (that'll have a bevy of folks I've never heard of).

I thought that a majority of the dresses were unflattering because of the way they fit around the tatas. Support garments would have helped. Several of the women looked saggy.

Other than that, many of the dresses had redeeming qualities.

adella...exactly! Kate McKinnon.....in THAT plunge look. It was just weird. Very unflattering for such a beautiful woman.

Too much tatas for my taste (thank you Adellabedella for that word).

ugh that red and pink combos, ick!!! 2 piece dresses, nope. so tired of the fit and flare. i loved the princess looks. those big puffy arms, omg stop that look immediately!!

ones i liked: viola davis, michelle williams, margaret qu'aller, maise williams, betty gilpin - FAV, jodie comer-minus plunge, catherine ohara, kristen bell- i like but i don't-would have liked to see the front, brittany snow, naomi watts and melanie liburd.

some were downright awful, sewn horribly and not the right style for the body type..

Mandy Moore made me visibly uncomfortable. I also thought the make-up on most of the women was poorly done. Perhaps it was the lighting. But those who smiled always looked best. Patricia Arquette would have been stunning had she simply smiled!

That's a HOOT Feathers. I saw Arquette and thought WOW how far she's fallen!! She is not aging well at all IMHO!!

Looking at that helps confirm why I do not watch those shows.

I don't watch those shows anymore. haven't for 15 yrs or so. I don't know most of the people. I think I recognized maybe 3 names posted above, but probably couldn't pick 'em out in a line up. I saw a few dresses shown on the news the next day. thought they were horrible. it seems like they're just a horrible costume show anymore.
