I like watching the fashion, so I watch the pre-emmy show too. What I've seen so far, red is a popular color this year.

I thought the Emmy's were usually on a Sunday night?

I watched the first hour. That's all I could stand of it. It was boring and lame. I get tired of actors always patting themselves on the back. As far as I am concerned the only awards that mean anything are the ones voted on my the fans.

I finally gave up and took a bath .. Im so glad I never watched any of the "comedy" shows. I was happy To see Kathy Bates get AN AWARD i ALWAYS KIJED HER ACTING tHEY ARE STRANGERS TO ME FOR THE MOST PART AT LEAST ON THE COMEDYSIDE

I had it on in the background, and took a look now and then. I don't have cable and don't watch much TV, so I never heard of many of the shows.

I saw the "man in the street" segment and thought it was very funny. Also watched "In Memorium," and found it moving, especially Billy Crystal's tribute to Robin Williams.

"Orange is the New Black" is a comedy??

I thought Billy Crystal's tribute to Robin Williams was wonderful. I laughed and cried.

We didn't watch this. Sorry, but not surprised to see "True Detectives" ignored. I haven't watched any of the other programs except Colbert.

Thank you for saying there was a tribute by Billy Crystal (one of my favorites!) about Robin Williams (my very very favorite). I just cried. I can't believe how many entertainers died this year and how many of them were really young. But the loss of Robin has left a hole in my world. It's a a dimmer world without him shining.

I was watching the red carpet as I watched something else on my iPad and honestly couldn't get past how skinny some of those girls were..Guiliana Rancic looked sick she is so skinny and her hair was unflattering...so watching her interviews wasn't even fun.

I just saw a couple of segments. The girl that plays "The Good Wife" had on a hideous dress. It looked like she had oversized bra straps when she walked to the stage. Also her dress seemed very sheer and her legs are bony! LOL

Yahoo news rated her dress a B+. Guess I'm not a fashionata because it was butt-ugly.

Julia Roberts followed her to present an award. She had a short flared dress above her knees. She has bony legs too. Everyone for the most part is too thin.

Like Alisande I was surprised when I first heard that "Orange is the new black" is a comedy. I don't know anyone that watches it, so I have no idea if it's any good. I guess it's women in prison, so not sure how they can find something to laugh about.

The producers of Orange is the New Black submitted it in the Comedy category as a strategic move, knowing that it wouldn't stand a chance in the Drama category. They're not the first, and won't be the last, to try that.

What did you think of Seth Meyers as the host? I didn't like him at all. Hubs and I both thought the "comedy writing" for the entire show was awful -- the "bits of banter" between presenters, etc.

A few....very few....good/funny moments...overall pretty meh.
