Accessible beige might look too cool. I would look for a warm white/beige, just slightly darker than your tiles. Try SW Westhighland White. Regardless of your wall color, you could paint your pine wall cabinet. Look at SW French Moire for that - it is a softer version of your trash can color. Those two colors work well together.

I fell in love with SW6422 Shagreen, and I am currently painting my living room that color. It's lively yet not overwhelming (IMO) Bet it could look super good in your bathroom with some contrasting accesories:) Funny coincidence, I too have SW icecube in one room, and it's gotta go.

I like the Ice Cube, it just clashes with what's in the room. I'm trying to stay with a light neutral color instead of strong colors.

Yes, color. Do not be afraid. A green or blue-green will go well with the oranges of the stone.

A very light mossy green would be nice. And, no, you don't need any sheen on the paint; flat works fine in a bathroom. Your husband's right; it does look like primer--that's a common risk with white paints.

Just don't get too wild with the color; you want to be able to see yourself in the mirror as people will see you all day. It's hard to judge colors when the paint changes the lighting.

In the meantime I had some leftover SW Oyster Bay and it does not look good either, much too dark and gray looking lol:

Actually that might not be terrible. It will look much better when you finish the rest of the wall. You can add a crisp white shower curtain, a colorful bath rug and towels to brighten up the space. Also, maybe a decorative basket or a few jars on top of that cabinet to fill up the empty space.

I don't think the SW Oyster Bay looks all that bad, either (and I'm not an expert). If you block out the unfinished area where the two colors meet, it truly does look a lot better. I've never understood how some people are able to test paint swatch colors--even with the real paint sampled on a wall--unless it's primed white or a basic white background is used (such as a large poster board) behind the sample colors. Good luck with your project--looks like you are headed in the right direction!

I love SW Oyster Bay. I would finish painting that out and live with it for a few days. you could put in warmer bulbs if it still looks too gray. My lower cabinets are SW Oyster Bay :)

As a side note, my contractor is frustrated with the time it's taken me to select bathroom paint for my windowless bath (space didn't have counters or all lighting in, yet, so that didn't help) I didn't realize how much I hate windowless baths until I tried picking a new wall color.

The Oyster Bay doesn't look bad in the photo because the photo doesn't show the vanity, countertop, or floors. Stay away from gray. Look at beiges, light tans, or very light soft greenish blues. A bit of color on the walls will help the tile and floor look whiter in comparison. A lighter shade of this color would work.

I agree with Calidesign. I don't think grey is a good choice for this space. I also like the idea of painting the cabinet above the toilet. A small bathroom is the perfect place to have a litte fun with color!

SW Oyster Bay is a soft greenish-blue. It is on the same card as SW Sea Salt. It may be looking gray in this bathroom, or with this lighting--but in my kitchen it is a very soft blue.

Judy designs suggested B.M. Pale Oak for my son's house. He has the same color for his kitchen cabinets, bathroom cabinet, and trim as you do in your bathroom. It would have been perfect but I already painted the house. The color is a light neutral griege and I love it. It is almost white.
