Lolita, Thank you so much for the encouragement to step out of my comfort zone. I really like this color and think it will look perfect. I have a sample of both full strength and 75% and for the poster board size I tried I prefer the slightly lighter but as my SW friend and employee said it didn't lighten it as much as she thought so still has a richness to it. What other colors did you use in the rooms adjoining your entry? I have to tell you a story - when I was newly married (21 years ago) my sister-in-law worked on a dude ranch in the French Riviera and gave me and DH a 9 hour horse pack trip as a wedding gift. I rode a beautiful grey horse named Lolita and we had a wonderful day riding through the hills and canyons to a private lake in the mountains. :) Not comparing you to a horse but thought I'd share my memories of your name Lolita. For those of you with SW Extra White on your house - just confirming Extra White is a bright white, correct? I have seen a sample and it seems to have a bit of a blue/grey undertone. On a house exterior does it just read white? or white with slight grey/blue? Look forward to hearing back on this. Thank you!

You don't need to spend the extra money on Emerald for the ceilings. Like I said before, you need to ask the builder what the extra costs are going to be before you decide. Contractors get ProMar extremely cheap, especially builders. Usually it's for a select few colors. 20 years ago my MIL managed properties, they painted everything Dover White. They got Dover White in 5 gallon buckets for $10. But...only Dover White, nothing else came with that price tag because it wasn't in large volumes. Your builder may outright refuse to do anything other than what is stated in the contract. You need to find this out before you go further. Contract states one color through out. They are not going to paint your individual rooms different colors, its not going to happen. Your best bet may be to hire a painter once your build is done, then you can dictate colors, finishes, ect. And that painter can advise you on what to use.
