Koi Pond from Sherwin Williams photos??

Hi! We are in paint color process and I've had so much more trouble picking paint for the main living area than I ever dreamed I would. I'm fairly certain it will be Koi Pond from SW but I can't seem to find but ONE photo on an internet search and nothing here on a search.

It seems I've heard good things about this color but would appreciat photos you might have or if you have this in your home are you happy with it? What does it do in different lighting??

We are thinking a 75% mix because we want light yet not white or no-color yet this will be in the living area, dining, kitchen, hallway and office nook.

We have great natural light but not overwhelming brightness, and 10 foot ceilings. My idea is warmth and that feeling of bringing the outsisde in without inviting kermit the frog over! Trim will probably be SW Creamy, cabinets will be Creamy with a glaze of some sort (yet to be determined!) Granite will be New Venecian Gold a really nice slab - not too yellow.

I've also posted this on paint forum in hopes of getting some inspiration pics.

Okay this is my first post, I have been on gw for over a year usually reading and enjoying others works. So I am really excited to finally have someone looking for a color in our home (SW Koi Pond). We have it in our entry which has 12' celings, this room does not get alot of light, it has sidelights of stained glass, full panel door. But I love the color it does not read bright green at all to me. I have beautiful antiques of dark wood and white trim. I think you should look at a sample full strength and see what you think. Oh and I'll look for a picture for you later.

Thank you so much for the encouragement to step out of my comfort zone. I really like this color and think it will look perfect. I have a sample of both full strength and 75% and for the poster board size I tried I prefer the slightly lighter but as my SW friend and employee said it didn't lighten it as much as she thought so still has a richness to it.
What other colors did you use in the rooms adjoining your entry?
I have to tell you a story - when I was newly married (21 years ago) my sister-in-law worked on a dude ranch in the French Riviera and gave me and DH a 9 hour horse pack trip as a wedding gift. I rode a beautiful grey horse named Lolita and we had a wonderful day riding through the hills and canyons to a private lake in the mountains. :) Not comparing you to a horse but thought I'd share my memories of your name Lolita.

i couldn't find any teals i liked at Sherwin Williams, though they're my favorite paint store. :) But I was on a teal mission recently, so here are some colors to check out. They can match to any other paint brand so there's no need to limit yourself to their colors. Red white and black is a classic look for a traditional home like a Colonial. It can be a great look, if the red isn't too purple or bright. Which is difficult in paint pigments, because a lot of the newer red tints aren't true reds. The most often used red, is red oxide, which is exactly the rust color that it sounds like. It's a natural pigment, and less prone to fading, which is why the slightly oranger tones of red tend to last longer. Reds fades the most from UV exposure, so online pictures can be many different shades of red to pink and still be "the same" color. You may be painting every couple of years of you have direct western sun and one of the brighter reds. You need to consider cardinal direction, overhangs, adjacent landscaping, and anything that reflects towards the entrance. The browner rustier reds are more traditional, and will last longer between paint jobs. Red also needs a tinted primer, and at least 3 coats to be able to get the correct color. It's a lot of work. Which idea why it's most often done in small doses like just a door.

Sherwin Williams Semi-Solid Deck Stain

Hi. I’m posting these photos for no other reason than I found it very hard to find real-world photos with these stain colors. In the photos are the following #sherwinwilliams #deckscapes #semisolid #deck #stain colors. Tested on treated pine and the pine paint sticks. Darker color on large board: Banyan Brown Sticks with redder tone: Woodridge Sticks with gold tone: Baja Beige I decided to go with a semi-solid deck stain because I don’t like all the knots in the pine deck and fence we just had put up. My contractor’s default is Sherwin-Williams, so for convenience that’s what I stuck with. I was looking for a color that was on the lighter side, but not too orange/red. Also, because you can’t get sample sizes of deck stain, I limited myself to 3 test samples. The semi-solid stain is kind of like a thin paint. It has a very flat finish that I’m not overly enthused about, but I’ve decided for my sanity not to get too picky. The Banyan Brown does have an olive undertone to it, but I think my camera exaggerates the green a bit. It looks a bit more brown in the shade. I decided to go with Baja Beige because it will flow better from our oak floors. We live in the city and have limited space, so I thought having continuity between the inside and outside would make it flow better. No pictures, but I helped a friend paint his kitchen this color, and loved it. It's a 'comfortable' shade of green~~not limey at all. He used a warm tan thru the rest of the house, and the two colors really are a nice blend. I don't think you would be sorry. ;o)

Koi Pond is a very sophisticated sage green color that looks awesome in any room. I'm painting my new kitchen this color. While the kitchen is a separate room it has a big open entryway to the LR which will be SW Burlap. These 2 colors complement each other very nicely. They are part of the SW "Livable Luxe" palette.

I don't know anyone who has used this color so I guess I'm not a help in that respect, however, I just went onto the SW site and I LOVE the color. It does look like a sophistacted sage green, as above poster described. I hope you will show pictures after you paint!!
