Hi, I just signed off on SW Dover white for the body and trim, hope it looks good!!

We just went through this with our white appliances which are different brands for our new cabinets. It is impossible to get an exact match. It will be a compromise. Best to get paint samples and at least an 8X10 cardboard canvas from a crafts store. We created 7 samples from all the whites we tried and then narrowed it down. You have to look at the samples at different time of the day, sunny days, cloudy days for a good results. Good luck as there are so many shades of white that fall either on the cooler side or warmer side. The cooler side is where you want to be.

Celery- That color was actually on my list and then for some reason I didn't get a sample of it. I didn't know gray was going out already! I do have Patricia- I live in a teeny little neighborhood with only about 6 houses and two of them have a greenish tint that I am not fond of. The thing is I have a weird tan/brown stone to my house so going sage would probably match better than the blue/gray anyway. We had some storm damage and my roof is now moire black from certainteed. It's definitely a strange looking home but the inside is what sold me on it. Honestly I feel like there's not much hope for curb appeal. I was going to go vertical board and batten style for the hardie board but clearly I am clueless if anyone has better advice I would very much appreciate it!

maxineshell - I went through the same dilemma as you. My painter liked using SW Pure White. I finally gave in and I can say that I am shocked at how white the trim has turned out after reading all the same articles and watching the same videos that you did. I did try a sample of Extra White and it looked blue against my polar white kitchen cabinets, which are more of an off-white. SW Pure White is a brighter, crisper white than my kitchen cabinets, but it only bothers me in one area of the kitchen above the range hood. We are going to get a color match to the cabinets and paint the hood 'trunk'. Here are some examples of my SW Pure White in different rooms, including the kitchen. Hope this helps you!
