First lower that TV take the stuff off the stand hang the TV just above the stand. Take the mirror away and hang a piece of art there with the center at 60-63” A rug is a good way to add color

Part of the issue here is placement. Here is option One with

• drapery panels on windows
• lower position for TV
• added plant near window for light
• lowered shelf decor over desk area

Option Tow is the same but TV larger by 25% and cabinet below also including the additon of the location for an area rug.

Agree with Bev's suggestions, especially adding the rug. I don't see the mirror Patricia wants to move. Larger art over the FP would be better.

I've centered your table and added some wall decor on either side of your windows. Lots of options for wall decor depending on your tastes.

This area might have been better suited for a round table

Adding some type of natural fiber rug will help anchor the space and add interest and light to the floor.

Some texture on the windows and maybe some curves to balance all the straight lines in this area would add some additional interest. Don't start filling the space with 'stuff' like the elephants that are mass produced.

Linen curtains in a color close to the wall color are always a safe choice. Any art you love will always work. Just pay attention to scale and don't hang it too high. I would remove those dinky lamps on the desk along with the vase of sticks at the side. They really don't add anything but clutter to the space.
