Please help. Terrible craftsmanship. Recourse?
Comments (6)Oh, that sucks! Especially since it's an item that you were totally in love with (some things are more personal than others). Those doors are outstanding! I can see your point about the defect being there (staining issues) long before you opened the packages. Can you write the vendor a "nice" letter about how much you love the doors and are so disappointed that you didn't open the package and discover the damage sooner? Tell them you really want to showcase those doors! (You want to flatter the vendor). I did that when my son cracked the lens on my digital camera (a canon) a month after the warranty expired. And that was my own fault! But I praised the camera and told them how much I loved using it and didn't blame the damage on their company and they offered to fix it for free. And they did. So they have a very happy customer with me. BTW, I really like your home so far. After all is said and done I hope you and your husband will be very happy in your ranch....See MoreTerrible allergies... Please help
Comments (4)It could be the new house, or maybe just something in the neighborhood. It's time to see an allergist to get prescription type medication. The OTC things are quite good, but sometimes, the body needs a little extra help. Our spring season here did not follow the usual blooming cycle. The trees, etc, started, then there was a cold spell, and then a warm period and the trees started spreading pollen again. I found it to be a much longer period than usual. AND worse of all, the grass pollen seems to have started earlier than usual. Perhaps you have developed a summertime grass allergy. I'm sorry to tell you, but that's not an unusual thing....See MoreHelp! I've made terrible mistakes with LR (pics)
Comments (66)I love the furniture you've picked out. It will look bright and cheery and just the feeling of the inspiration pics you've posted in your other threads...once you paint! Paint the darn room already! :) My last house had muddy mauve and no natural light (houses on three sides and a big porch on the other). As soon as I painted, it changed everything. Even my mood was better. And if you have a front porch, I suggest you paint the porch ceiling blue. It made a big difference looking out my window and seeing Martha Stewart's Porch Ceiling Blue. Almost as good as being able to see the sky. :) Let your room evolve. Don't feel like it has to be "done" right away. Take your time finding art and accessories that you love. You're doing great and you're going to have a lovely space to enjoy....See MoreTerrible caulking twice !! Please help
Comments (19)I think you have three fairly quick and easy options to improve the look. 1) I don't know your decor but painting the bathroom a darker color would minimize the flaws. 2) You could purchase some peel and stick caulk and go right over the top of the existing caulk. 3) Purchase some blue tape and place along each side of the existing caulk leaving just enough space to create a sharp line when you are done. Using a tube of latex caulk, run a bead over the existing caulk with a bit going over the blue tape. When you have finished caulking carefully remove the tape leaving a straighter line. These photos are of peel and stick caulk. The above I used on a very old fiberglass shower where I just couldn't get a clean looking line. Not perfect but way better than it was. Also, I think much of what is on your fiberglass shower could be remove with goof off. Use a q tip and stick to the dark areas. Try a spot where it won't show if it's a fail. Good Luck!...See Morebry911
