Alternatives:

1) When looking at the calendar view, in the upper right it will say Week, or Month, whatever the view is. Click on that, then choose "Schedule" That will give you the entries in a date order list. You can print that list on paper, or change the print setting on your PC to Print to PDF so that the print image is saved in a PDF file you can send out.

2) You can Export the calendar to a file, send that to people, they can import it into their own Google calendar instance

3) You can share the calendar by inviting people to join, using their emails. (It may require a google email account, I'm not sure)

These are not a series of 3 steps to do it one way, they're independent alternatives. Do it this way, or this way or this way. If you export the data and distribute the file (2), or share the calendar (3), the recipients will read in the data to their own individual calendars and then can put the information in whatever display format or intervals they want.

4) Put the view into Month, click on the gear symbol choose Print. Print to paper or make the default setting to print it to a pdf file and distribute that.

The view is in month, I click the gear, go down to "print." The print PREVIEW window comes up. I click print on that window and it goes away. Another window should come up to click print again, but it does not. The preview window just goes away and nothing else happens. I checked the printer, its ok.

Edited to add: when I right click on page range on the preview page, then I get the print window. I'm getting somewhere now.

I just tested it and it works fine for me. Try this instead:

A) Try doing the same steps with a different browser. Make sure the printer settings for that browser are correct.

B) A version of #1 above, put it in Month view. Set your Default printer destination as "Save to PDF file" instead of the printer - you can change it back later.

Choose print. Note which folder the PDF file is saved to, or better yet, you select a folder that you can get to easily. When the PDF has been saved, open Windows Explorer, go to the folder when the new PDf is and open it with Adobe Acrobat, and then print from Acrobat.

Ok thank you for those ideas. I finally did get a decent copy by just right clicking at the top of the page rather than going through the gear and print preview windows.

Don't feel dumb or in need of remedial help, not by a long shot. Sometimes things like this can be funky and sometimes only lighting incense and doing the right chant will get them to work.

I bought a network device a few days ago that I needed to set up, it's done by connecting it first to a PC. I already have one I got a year ago, already set it up without trouble and didn't expect doing it a second time would be a problem, I followed the instructions anyway and 4 attempts failed. Flat out failed. There was nothing complicated but it just didn't want to happen. I went to a different PC and it worked the first time. Both are recent model Win 10 machines, both work without issue, but the new product was unhappy with one and very happy with the other, without throwing off an error code that could be useful. This kind of stuff happens and so there's nothing to learn from the experience other than try it again a different way or somewhere else.

I tried. Last year. Couldn't get it printed. If you find a way, you did what I could not. Including no PDF possible. I'm computer savvy and couldn't do it. Tried every way I know. Sorry to be the bearer. I did NOT want to share my calendar with those who needed to see it. I hear you

5) If there aren't too many events, invite the people you want to notify to each event. That puts it on their calendars when they accept.

This is a schedule of volunteer shifts 7 days a week in a library bookstore, so there are over 100 slots. Good thought, though, Elmer.

We can make do with the schedule I printed. However, just to whine a bit more, on the version I was able to print there is a dot next to each time slot and a box around each time slot. These un-needed features take up space needed to pencil in changes during the month. Oh well, we will manage with it that way unless someone has a suggestion to remove these features which are not on the google calendar page. What app added these features when I printed?

Socks, it seems the problem is that you're using the wrong software for the result you want.

I think you could more easily get this done next time by using a calendar template in a spreadsheet.

I did some looking for you and found in Google Drive (formerly called Google Docs) that if you open a spreadsheet, you can then do a search under Add-Ons for a calendar template. There I found a free "perpetual calendar" template after adding Template Vault that will serve your needs. The spreadsheet so created (plenty of room for daily shift info, or enlargeable) can be printed, saved as an Excel file, or exported as a pdf.

I'm sure there are other ways and places to find similar things. If you have an Office license or subscription, I'm sure Microsoft also has calendar templates for spreadsheets. When complete or printed out, it looks like a calendar, not like a spreadsheet.

I finally figured out why it would not print. My printer is very old, not connected to the cloud or somesuch issue. I accessed the calendar on another household computer with a newer printer, and it prints fine. Apparently the problem was my old timer printer.

That's good but my suggestion is unchanged. Google calendar is intended as a personal or group calendar that people access directly or feed in to their own calendars. Your needs are different and I would use something better suited as I previously mentioned.

Google calendar keeps me from having to re-enter the information each month as I can tag an "event" to take place on the first Wednesday of every month (for example), and it will carry that event forward for every month until I change it. Hope that makes sense. The calendar goes to about 50 people. Many would have trouble accessing it through a computer. Thanks again for all the suggestions. This will work.
