Friends of the Garden is entirely volunteer, really great group of people who helped to raise the money to build the new Botanical Center and who maintain the gardens at Close Memorial Park. One of them volunteered to create the calendar. I think it'll be useful and fills a much needed niche. I always wondered how anyone found out about anything. Not everyone reads the paper..., etc. Directions and contact information are certainly helpful.

1. Windows has something called compatibility mode that often allows you to run an older software version with a newer operating system. Check out the link below (step 3 or 4 at the bottom of the list). 2. What is your email provider? Many have built-in calendars with reminder settings. I use Hotmail (or Outlook as it is now called), and its calendar allows me to set all kinds of one-time and perpetual events with advance reminders. 3. If you can get your program to function under compatibility mode, that's great...but you are just putting off the inevitable. That's why I use my Hotmail account, rather than rely on a separate program that I know will be obsolete or incompatible some day. No Gary. There's no browsing. The keyboard is virtual and is accessed via the remote. The cool thig about it for us is that we're getting rid of cable tv and going to antenna. You can see my post about that on this same board. Anyway, Apple TV still allows us to buy or rent HD movies. To watch streaming movies instantly via Netflix. And to view YouTube and listen to your iTunes including internet radio (which is the future of radio not satellite). Also, I rip all my movies to iTunes and so our entire movie library is ready to be viewed.
