I bought a split leaf 2 years ago at a yard sale for $2. When I got it, there was only 2 small leaves. Since then, I would say it is about 3 1/2 - 4 ft tall and about 7-8 ft in diameter. There are so many leaves:) I love it, but I need to prune it back some because after I transplanted it into a new pot, the leaves are pointing in different directions and some of them are upside down now. I have tried to prop them up to face the right way, but I am afraid of breaking the thin stock. For some reason, their branches are thicker than the base. So, how would I go about pruning the leaves back? Do I just cut them where I would want it, or is there a certain spot on the branch, base, or what I call (conjunction-a cluster of branches from one place)? I won't do anything to it until I know it won't hurt it. This thing likes to grow fast!!! Thanks everyone. I knew this was the right place to share my excitement with and be understood :) ~Candy - DH decided this is too big of project for him to take on by himself. The carpets have to be removed as well as baseboards and then the baseboards would have to be put back up. We are going with Lumber Liquidators and using their contractors for installation. They say it will take 3 days to complete the project. We are going with a thicker 12 mil product which should last us a long time. It's just the 2 of us and the small pup so we shouldn't be too hard them :) When we went to the showroom to order the price was actually lower than stated online! We were thrilled with that good news!! We had already planned to take the last week of June off from work for some much needed R&R and they were able to get us on the install schedule for then. So much for R&R right? As far as a hutch or buffet table, it will just have to speak to me. We will wait until the floors are done and move the table in before we decide what will work in the room. I have a 6yr old DD and her room is painted Old Rose Glaze by Pittsburgh Paints (Lowes) on upper walls with white wainscotting below. And I am getting ready to paint an old desk for her in BM Sweet Caroline. The rest of the room is decorated in pinks,purples and greens.. I will say that the ORG has a slight purple look to it. Sylvia, that’s a nice bloom. Dream Come True is a unique rose, every bloom is different, but lovely, I think you’ll enjoy it. Mine just started blooming, here’s one from yesterday.
