Believe it or not, decent looking ceiling fans exist. On every design show I've ever seen they're the first things to be thrown out, but I have them in every bedroom. Mmm slight draft at night without the sound of floor fan... I pspent no fewer than 18 weeks looking (off and on) for a "pretty" one to go in my master. I have lived with a 4 poster bed. My experience - unless you have really high ceilings, and I'm talking like 10 ft, and a sizeable room, it will turn your space into... tiny. Once upon a time in a previous life I thought I had a big bedroom until I put a poster bed in there. I like your computer nook. I always wanted a space like that, which I could separate from the rest of the room with some romantic drapery tied back. I might force that idea on my formal dining room. :) beds/headboards coverin ga window do bother me. I don't like anything to cover a window (couch, table, or otherwise) -- but that's just me. And if it came down to a queen bed, or covering that window, sure - the window would get covered! We have single panels on our two bedroom windows, mostly because they're skinny and it looked silly to me to have two panels. If you need to cover the window, something that seems to help (at least when I've seen it done) is to pull the bed away from the wall a foot or so. Then you can go with two panels, and it looks kind of intentional instead of "didn't have space." Something else to keep in mind with blocking windows -- does the sun come directly in such that it would fade your bedding over time?

We visited Portugal in 2019 with another couple. The couple has now sold their house, will retire later this month and make the move to Portugal in January. They have been our inspiration! We went back to Portugal in September and now plan to rent an AirBNB in Cascais for February and March next year. We're taking baby steps. We'll be living and working there to test the waters. Very excited! Nope, not a chiropractor!

Thank you all for your suggestions!! So many great ideas 🙏 I should have clarified my daughter is a tween she is ten almost 11. So while she still likes having stuffies I need the room to be sophisticated enough to last through her teens. She had a small single bed in our old house and now has space for this luxurious queen and it was her choice. She picked the style, colour and fabric. We went through the RH teen bedrooms and she showed me what she liked. I haven’t put any decorative stuff on the walls yet but I have a pair of gold hanging mirrors for above the night stand. And gold frames in different sizes for the gallery wall. I am changing her light fixture as well which will be a gold finish so the accents will all come but didn’t want to put anything up until we painted.

I am very selective. 99% are people visiting the universities for a few months or travel nurses. Currently, I have a Pediatrician (last year of residency), a lab technician, and a travel nurse. And I am % sure in Gainesville you do not need a permit if you live in the house and you are homestead, I asked the city. @palimpsest it is my house, I am renting rooms just for a few extra years. The closet can be smaller, I can extend the bathroom toward the closet. Having a 5'x8' or 5'x7' bathroom on that corner is not an option, it would ruin that beautiful room @Greg GN Builders., That is a good point, but I can enlarge toward the bottom of the drawing and move the sink to create space for the person to walk. @latifolia Below is the entire floorplan Going back to the original question. I want to figure out if I can get this 4th bathroom in a way that it will increase house price values and do not look weird. What is the minimum depth of the bathroom that you think would be enough? See below the full floor plan. As you see, on the top right, there is already a 34x34 shower in the previous master bathroom (the part on the bottom of the drawing is a 2008 addition the previous owner made, the part where I live). The upper two-third of the drawing is the old house (1959). No one complained about the 34x34 shower or small bathroom and everyone was happy to pay $1400 a month for that room. Questions again are: 1) can I make the wall (which separates room from bathroom) 2.5" thick by rotating 2x4 studs (so 1.5" stud + 2x0.5" drywalls) or just using 2x2s? That would bring the bathroom shower to 34x34. 2) Can I do a pocket door on a 2'5" wall? 3) With the same studs, I could bring the wall between the proposed bathroom and the room on its left down to 2'5". Which would bring the new bathroom up to 36" of depth. 4) If I need an even deeper bathroom, I could move the wall by 5" into the next room. As you see the window is off-centered by exactly 5" in that room, moving the wall by 5" would bring the depth of the bathroom to 39" or 41" depending on executing only (1) or also (2). Honestly, I would prefer not to move that wall, it is an extra cost. What do you guys think?
