How much to water an *established* 8 foot tall weeping river birch?

So I have had this weeping river birch for 3 years. it is established and has reached its full height at 8 feet. Its trunk is maybe 2 or 3 inches in diameter. We are in zone 7.

i knew how to water it when it was small, but now that it is established and fully grown (vertically) I am not sure how to water it.

i know to water maybe weekly in the summer, but should I water by doing a slow trickle with the hose? If so how long do I let it slow trickle on such a small tree? i know for larger trees it can be 30 min or an hour or so. But, for something so small I just don’t know. i would love some recommendations. Up until now I just turn the hose on it for like 30 seconds or a minute and that’s it, but I don’t think that’s the best course of action now.

Its leaves in the first photo show its leaves yellowing I think from the heat this summer and not getting enough water maybe, which is why I want to do more deep watering.

Thanks so much
