Rug placement help
Comments (6)With that carpet, you have quite a few colors to choose from for bedding, pillows, other furniture and art. It would be a good idea to have some good-sized paintings in this room so that the rug isn't the only large feature. Frankly, the bed looks rather plain on this rug, and I would probably choose a new bed with a tufted, fabric covered headboard, and avoid having any wood showing on the bed. You'll need a fairly elegant bedding set also, nothing country or informal. Matelasse or something with a velvety surface would be lovely. Some pretty lamps, perhaps with a ceramic base in one of the colors of the carpet, could help to coordinate the decor in this room....See MoreHELP! Entryway rug placement dilemma...
Comments (14)Thanks everyone 😊 I really appreciate your feedback! I moved my current rug and added some photos. How’s this? (Please excuse my little photobomber 😂) I love Turkish/oushak style rugs like this one but I think I want to get a different one with different colors (not a fan of the orange in my current rug for some reason). That being said, how is the size of my current rug - should I look for longer or wider? Do y’all think it looks odd leading into living room since it doesn’t align with doorway/doorframe? Thanks!!...See MoreRug shape/placement/style? I like bright floral but not sure-help pls!
Comments (7)@Beverly Thanks so much for the visualization. I am sold on the bohemian style, with the 9X12, looks much better. What about a different cover for the chair? btw, the sofas have a cover but are light beige/grey. I have a 5yo so it is hard to keep anything clean. What would you say to a circular rug? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078YD91YG/?coliid=ILTHQKO2UVBN9&colid=GBIYS2WZ5VD2&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it&th=1...See MoreHelp with size and placement of bedroom rug.
Comments (30)Eld, partly because of the dust but also because i like to be able to push the bed aside at times. My vac has an attachment that could reach under there but rugs seem to hold dust. I like to use a dust mop, or I should say that I like for the cleaning lady to use a dust mop. My bed is really heavy and has an upholstered headboard. I like to push it away from the wall to vacuum the back of the headboard and also the baseboards. Yeonassky, whoever gets out of the other side of the bed gets to step on really cold floor. That part of the floor is over an overhang. If it’s my cat or dog, they could just jump over me. 😉. I am leaning toward a rug that covers the open floor area but does not go under any furniture....See Morenjmomma
