HELP! Entryway rug placement dilemma...
Someone please help. Maybe there is no right or wrong answer, but I need some guidance for how large my entryway rug should be and ideal placement.
Part of the problem is that my front door does not align in the middle of the rest of the entryway. The entryway leads into my living area and so I’m faced with either aligning/centering the rug to my front door OR centering it to the frame leading into my living area.
On top of that, I have a console and I’m not sure whether or not to have rug in front of the console or sitting on top of it.
Dilemmas dilemmas!!
Does anyone have any strong opinions about this? Maybe I’m making it a bigger deal than it is. Thanks in advance!!

I found a local retailer who can do custom size rugs (even custom variations of rug patterns in store with colors we match / pick out). I checked this one out. Was thinking I could even change the black to blue? But I kind of like the black for contrast. Or is that too many colors? Or should I go for more COLOR? I need COLOR IN MY LIFE! But, I could do that with pillows, art, and accessories..... ? I am planning on doing automatic shades, not drapes, in this room.. prob neutral so won't add much color. Also, don't mind the outdoor furniture that's all bunched up against the window... and I just put the orange pillows on the sofa to try and get some color going for reference. Comments (12)yes the glass buffet with drawers can come out and the unit can be reconfigured, however the room is about 22 ft long so I would still need to make sure that any new seating is about 8-10 ft away from the TV. So i could take the buffet out and move it but then the rest of the unit with the TV will have to go on the wall where the couch is now, so that we can watch TV at a comfortable viewing distance. Comments (9)A challenge! I'd recommend adding a see-through room-divider to the top of the half-wall, perhaps in a lattice or Moroccan style motif to create some separation without losing light. And I agree with adding a bench below the half-wall, too. I don't think there's much to be done about the proximity between the front and back doors unless you're willing to move the back door to a different location. Comments (2)I think I'd choose one pattern to use as a runner between the 2 doors from edge to edge and matching mats wherever you want them in the kitchen. I love Turkish/oushak style rugs like this one but I think I want to get a different one with different colors (not a fan of the orange in my current rug for some reason). That being said, how is the size of my current rug - should I look for longer or wider? Do y’all think it looks odd leading into living room since it doesn’t align with doorway/doorframe?
