Need help on area rug sizing and placement for large space
Comments (13)Esmaili Rugs and Antiques, Inc. ingrid_vc so. CA zone 9 I like the light colored one best I think... and I definitely want a modern pattern. I found a local retailer who can do custom size rugs (even custom variations of rug patterns in store with colors we match / pick out). I checked this one out. Was thinking I could even change the black to blue? But I kind of like the black for contrast. Or is that too many colors? Or should I go for more COLOR? I need COLOR IN MY LIFE! But, I could do that with pillows, art, and accessories..... ? I am planning on doing automatic shades, not drapes, in this room.. prob neutral so won't add much color. Also, don't mind the outdoor furniture that's all bunched up against the window... and I just put the orange pillows on the sofa to try and get some color going for reference. You all are so much help!...See Moreliving room furniture placement dilemma
Comments (12)yes the glass buffet with drawers can come out and the unit can be reconfigured, however the room is about 22 ft long so I would still need to make sure that any new seating is about 8-10 ft away from the TV. This would probably be the “easier” and the better solution. Decoenthusiaste how would you position a couch like the one you recommend? Against the windows?...See MoreEntry Way Dilemma
Comments (9)A challenge! I'd recommend adding a see-through room-divider to the top of the half-wall, perhaps in a lattice or Moroccan style motif to create some separation without losing light. And I agree with adding a bench below the half-wall, too. I don't think there's much to be done about the proximity between the front and back doors unless you're willing to move the back door to a different location. My concern is one of safety: that back door is directly opposite the stairs which seems like an accident waiting to happen. Some room divider inspo:...See MoreHelp me solve my rug dilemma
Comments (2)I think I'd choose one pattern to use as a runner between the 2 doors from edge to edge and matching mats wherever you want them in the kitchen. Do you have absorbent mats outside each door as well? The main goal is to catch all the dirt and protect the wood....See MoreRelated Professionals
