Do you have anything that is witty/whimsical in garden?
Comments (41)So far no birds. I'm hoping the yellow jackets don't nest in there. I read on his website that we can leave it out all year round but we took it in for the winter and were kind of late putting it out so that could account for why we didn't get any nests. I love those frogs! We got them at an art fair a couple of years ago here in Columbus. I thought I had the artist's card but can't find it at the moment. If I locate it I will post here or send you an e-mail through GW....See MoreWhimsical Dog Prints for Girl's Rm.?
Comments (13)Before I opened this thread, I was thinking Yes! But I was thinking of this print...esp. great if you have a lab. Notice how the coral/salmon color is in the diamond patterned rug? I have the perfect little wood table for you, in a coral shade, wish we could do a virtual trade. Are you planning to paint the maple bed? If not, notice how the frame shown is a natural stain. I also like how the black dog gives that touch of black in the room, how it snaps. Looks like there's a tiny bit of blue in the wallpaper flowers... Hmmm, my personal fave is scotties, they're pretty collectible too. They would be very cute in a little girls room, sweet and old-fashioned. I can understand wanting to just use what you have, too. I have had to do that all my life, it's the love you put into the space that matters most. Comments (21)Yay. good to know I am not crazy. I really like the chandelier too, and sometimes I am kind of a kook so I never know if it is way out there. :) In regards to absentee bids, well I usually end up in trouble when I stay at the auctions. I used to go all the time with DH when we had a larger house, no young child, and more money :) (before we went to one income so DH could stay home with DS) I usually spent too much and bought extra stuff. The auctions are such fun IMHO. So now, I leave bids. I really think about what the most I want to pay is and leave a bid. Then I don't get in to trouble. Because I want two things I am tempted to go there but the auctions are usually 4 hours or so and I hate to be away from DS so long on the weekends. I may discuss with DH when they get up. They do have liveauction (online) bidding too and last month I got a great asian tall shelf thingie that I had been thinking about going to see. No one was bidding on it so I got it for $125. DH loves it and has already claimed it. :) I am at least going to go see these two in person this morning. Sheesh I am babbling. I am kind of excited to get the kitchen finished with table and chandlier and in one auction and at what seems like reasonable prices (given their estimates) and in a close place. I have been having a heck of a time finding a nice smallish table for the kitchen area too. I think a glass top table would lighten the space up and make it not so heavy but DH does not want glass at all, and he is not usually so opinionated....See Morewhimsical backsplash ideas?
Comments (32)So many excellent ideas! @mark_rachel I hadn’t considered pearl at all - I think I thought it was too delicate but that’s doesn’t seem to be the case. I’ve started ordering samples - along with the Fireclay above and some of their color samples, I’m also getting samples pictured here. I’m getting some fish scale and various whites and greens to experiment with pops of color or maybe a subtle ombré look. I hope I’ll remember to update in a few months with out finished backsplash! Thank you all!...See MoreNancy Digregorio
