Have you asked her if SHE likes them? She's the person you really need to listen to, not us! LOL!

And I know you didn't ask us about this, but does she like the bedding? Appears a little old for a child, but maybe the striped bedskirt will lighten up the look. (I understand that you don't want to have to redecorate for her too many times over the years!)

Love the bedding and the furniture. I'm thinking you may need something more girly to go with the above.

I love the room and think the dog prints would be great (if she likes them, as mentioned earlier). I think the green makes a great background for a little pink and purple if she decides she wants to add some in later. I use a lot of green and it still goes with my little bits of pink and purple :)

I just love that bedding! Salmon/coral would be a nice accent color.

Also, in agreement with asking your DD.

She's 1 so at this point it's Mommy's determination what goes in.

She has a coral quilt that was made for her. Her crib bedding is very basic - white crib skirt w/ pom pom fringe and white Jenny Lind crib (both crib and twin bed will be in room).

I'm not looking to purchase new w/o using what I currently own first so green and blue it is.

If I find coral and watermelon colors once I pick through what I have already and it's bargain basement cheap then I would love to slowly swap out the blue accents. I suppose those colors will come along more towards Spring 2010!

Do you think that the light aqua walls will still look good once hits of coral are added? Then the room would read soft aqua walls, green and white bedding all around, green bureau, natural wood and then pops of coral.

I love the idea, but I'm partial to pups. This is our bit of whimsy in the back hall/entry. They're "Ancestral Canines".

I've been a dog lover since birth, so I'd hang them in a flash, especially if they go near that great chair with what looks like paw feet! Maybe show us a pic of the dog prints?

Before I opened this thread, I was thinking Yes! But I was thinking of this print...esp. great if you have a lab. Notice how the coral/salmon color is in the diamond patterned rug? I have the perfect little wood table for you, in a coral shade, wish we could do a virtual trade. Are you planning to paint the maple bed? If not, notice how the frame shown is a natural stain. I also like how the black dog gives that touch of black in the room, how it snaps. Looks like there's a tiny bit of blue in the wallpaper flowers...

Hmmm, my personal fave is scotties, they're pretty collectible too. They would be very cute in a little girls room, sweet and old-fashioned.

I can understand wanting to just use what you have, too. I have had to do that all my life, it's the love you put into the space that matters most.

T, you're so great with colors that I'm sure you could find an aqua to work.

My concern wouldn't be the aqua working with the coral, but with the green. That's where it would get tricky, IMO. A pale greyish blue would be easy.

Do you have an aqua that you're looking at?
