I have a beautiful water color of Venice and it's been there for 12 years. Looks as good as the day I bought it.

This is the main bathroom in our two-bathroom home! Used vintage photos -- some photos from the family -- and some found in various stores like Marshalls .....

There is a small collection of vintage cameras sitting on the bathroom counter too ......

My MB is very close in color to the same color as yours. We have a black and white picture hanging up and I think it looks gorgeous! I think the colors in the photos you have up now are wrong. You need something more subtle. Here are some ideas I thought of.

I remember a funny dispute on RMS about whether it was disgusting to have food related art in a bathroom!

I believe the final concensus was that there is so much lovely art out there, why risk offending someone with food related art?

Although I thought it was all silly, I think I actually agree...

In the master I'm going to have a mosaic I will have done of some scene in Oregon, in DD's bath I have framed vintage ads, one for Ivory soap and one for Kohler, waiting for her. (sorry no pics--although I will tell you that if you use a vintage print ad and you have any natural light, make *sure* to use UV-protective glass, because daylight will fade it *fast*). In our public bath we have a Hiroshige of a harbor waiting for us to redo the room--it was my mother's and I have kept the very mid-century (not my style mid-century, but hers) matting and framing out of honor to her. (It also happens to go with our color choices in there.)

brutuses - Not my bath -just a pic I swipped from RMS. It's my color scheme though. I should post pics of my bathroom since I just finished my drywall and painting last night! I love your kitties!

I have four large b&W photos across from the potty in my tiny powder room. They are pics of each of my kids and the 4th pic is of my dogs. They're mostly funny pics -- one is of my oldest DS buried in the sand with only his face peeking out of the sand. I'm getting a little tired of them, though, and might replace them with one larger piece of art, so I'm reading these responses with interest!

justagirl, I see. I had DH look at the vanity and it is ours that is going on the master, 2 of them actually. We found those at HD and a few days later, the line was discontinued. I'm glad we found them when we did. They were inexpensive, go with our decor, are solid and we think, look really nice.

I know my bathroom art is not what most people would call "conventional" but, for the most part all my art has either children or animals featured. I like to keep art fun and whimsical vs. too serious. I like my rooms to be informal and I can accomplish them through my art pieces.

Here's what I had in my previous bathrooms. My current main bath has absolutely nothing. :-) Apologies for the lack of detail.

These are prints of handmade art quilts by a local artist named Susan Carlson, {{!gwi}} and {{!gwi}}. They're currently hanging in my all-white, nothing-done-to-it half bath for some desperately needed color.
