Question: which size blinds to order?...windows different sizes
Comments (4)Can you get multiple shades on a single headrail? I was going to go bamboo and had the same issue. My windows were just over 70" wide and I was advised not to go with a single wide blind. We'd need ours lined (I see neighbors, so you might too?) and apparently they get ungodly heavy at that width. I didn't want completely separate shades, though, because they're so hard to line up and end up looking piecemeal (IMO). I have a pic of individual pane shades I can post of it would help (I'll have to pull it off my phone rq). I ended up going with shutter blinds (extra wide slat horixontal blinds), multiple blinds on a single headrail. It looks cohesive, but each blind is very manageable, and I like that I can raise/lower them independently....See MoreAny recent experience with Blinds, SelectBlinds, etc
Comments (2)I've used both Smith&Noble(S&N) and SelectBlinds recently. S&N seems to be unable to fill an order correctly. If you do a search on this Home Forum, you should be able to find threads where others have the same complaint. Their product is excellent; their fulfillment time is excellent; the customer service stinks. They were not knowledgeable before I placed the order. I had questions about their products which they were unable to answer. They did replace items as warranteed. SelectBlinds had excellent customer service before the sale. I received samples of woven blinds the day after I ordered them. Fulfillment was fast and correct. I would definitely order again from SelectBlinds - from S&N I would only order if they were the exclusive dealer on an item I wanted. Comments (12)I think there's some confusion about what I'm asking -- not panel curtains. Track panel blinds. They are kind of like vertical blinds but come out of an Asian design. They need a special track, which I am having a very hard time finding after hours of searching google. They can't use a regular curtain track. GrandmaOf3, I see that JC Penney used to sell something like this under "Cindy Crawford"(?) It looks like the fabric panel parts are being liquidated on ebay and I don't see this on their site. I will poke around further, thanks! Looking at this photo ... does anyone then know of anyone selling just the headrail for this kind of system? Thanks again....See MoreBlind ordering error. Comments (18)***They are now telling me that they can't match up with Home Depot blinds. When I ordered them, they said that the bright white is the exact same color as snow white at home depot. Now they are giving me a different story.*** IMO, this doesn't make sense. I can understand them saying they can't match Home Depot colors that aren't Hunter Douglas, but Hunter Douglas colors should be the same across the board. Color codes may be different, but the actual name shouldn't change. I would call again (you may get someone more helpful the second time) and explain that you were told by one of their salespeople that the bright white is the exact same color as snow white at home depot. If they still don't cooperate I'd just live with the blinds or paint the trim a softer color. As patches mentioned, once they're up you may never notice the difference. I never noticed my white blinds didn't match my trim in the MB until I ordered blinds for another room and started comparing whites!...See Moremelle_sacto is hot and dry in CA Zone 9/
