OOOps! Do I feel dumb. The BM color is actually Davenport TAN (not brown) but it is a nice brown, I guess that's why I renamed it- heee hee. I found those on the JCP website; they are in the Chris Madden collection. They were not available in my local store, though. I will post a pic of room today, hopefully. My real dilemma is that I have this desire to have a warm chocolately room but most of the curtains I tend to like also have browns in them so I fear I will be getting TOO much brown. I really like the original color combination of the pic I posted the best, I think I am just trying to find a force them to work in my room- maybe a bad thing? Maybe I should work on a complimetary color to brown first how about this look? but using this color?

I have had my cooktop since Nov 2008, I installed it into my old formica counter, knowing I would use it in a new kitchen that I am now finally doing. Well I went and took photos of both marbles today.. to only find out the fabricator can use both but since they are smaller slabs I would have to have 2 seams not too far from one another , but if I search for a larger piece I can have only 1 seam. So I think I may have to start my search over for that WHITE premium carrara in a a larger slab and maybe the imperial danby,.. but the larger the slab the more money.. the fabricator really doesnt want to do two seams.. he doesnt think I will like it in the end. So I will hold off on the hood till I decide.. but then the color white I choose in my kitchen for the cabinets will vary depending on the marble.. and I only have 30 days now to change my mind

hey! i have that table--though not from pb. ime it holds up very well, but those extensions are a pain to move and remove. also the grooves catch everything and need constant cleaning with a toothpick or the vacuum. that said, it is beautiful and that width is great for our large family. your room is going to be gorgeous when you're done, love the fabric and breakfront.

Hmm. If you want a transition, here are two other options that might be worth considering.. . . Option A. Put the flat screen on the wall opposite the fireplace -- over the baskets where the small pic is currently. Use the existing armoire for toy storage. Put two swivel or moveable chairs along the left end of the rug. Put another swivel chair about where the left couch cushion is in your second floorplan. Put the couch or a love seat where you show it in your second floor plan. As long as the tv is mounted medium high, you should have three good viewing chairs. Option two. Mount the tv on the wall where the armoire is currently. Put the couch where the loveseat is in your second floor plan. Put one swivel chair to the left of the fireplace (similar to your current floor plan). Consider building a deep uphoulstered bench to replace the bookcase on the left side of the fireplace. This lets you view the TV from the couch, one chair, and possible the bench. In terms of your laughing friends, tell them not to expect any permanent resolution to your LR decorating woes. Those of us with odd shaped LRs (mine is only a tad bigger than yours) end up shoving furniture around a lot as technology and family needs change. Over the years, my couch has been shoved up against every wall in my LR -- plus it "floated" in the middle of the room for about 8 years. Each arrangement has its pluses and minuses. My current arrangement, for example, sacrifices all attempt at having a graceful transition from my front entry and largely ignores my fireplace. Yet it works for us right now. The important thing is to find something that makes your family happy and comfortable -- at least for now.
