Aw, that is sad. He was hilarious. Does that make 3 now? Tim Conway, Doris Day and who? Someone else, right? Peggy Lipton, that is who the third person is.

A month or so ago I watched a bunch of outtakes from the Carol Burnett show - he had me in stitches. Big loss.

Very sorry to hear about Tim. He was one funny man. A classic is the dental sketch did with Harvey Korman. Not sure which was funnier - the skit or when Tim made Harvey loose control and start laughing.

RIP Funny, funny man. You gave great feel-good laughter to many, many people. I didn't realize that he had been ill for so long.

Skippy, when I read note of his death on CNN, the first thing that came to mind was the elephant sketch. I laugh just thinking about watching it.

We've lost three great talents this week and all were talented in different ways. What a week.

Oh this is so sad and unexpected. He was an amazing comic and from what I’ve heard just a really nice man. I still have vivid memories of our family watching The Carol Burnett show. He’d have my father laughing so hard he’d be crying. Thank you so much for all the good memories Mr. Conway, you and your counter parts were all so brilliant.

Oh Lars! I forgot about McHale’s Navy, such a funny show. He was so good in everything he did. No one else like him.

I loved Tim Conway on the Carol Burnett Show! He was so sharp and hilarious, and it gave him scope to improvise and really show off his amazing comedic talent. The world is a poorer place without him.

I read an interview with Carol Burnett and Tim Conway and he said that neither Harvey Norman Nor the rest of the crew knew about the novocaine bit until Tim stuck himself in the hand. None of that had been in the rehearsals. In fact, Harvey had been complaining during rehearsals during the week that it wasn't a funny skit and he thought it was going to be terrible.

Apparently, Conway based the character on an army dentist who stuck himself in the thumb while treating Tim for a sore tooth.

The only celebrity I ever wrote a fan letter to (age 10, I think). *sigh* RIP Tim.

Tim was the hilarious sloth of comedians.

My understanding is he threw a lot of stuff at everyone during the skits that they didn't know about...and how, despite cracking everyone else up, he could still stay in character was beyond me. Quite a talent.

I will always remember him in the Carol Burnett skits. And Mama’s Family too. The elephant skit makes me giggle just thinking about it.

one of my favorite comedians, along with Rickles and Newhart. such a loss to the world. such good clean fun! don't get much of that anymore.
