Thanks a lot ctnchpr, I'm glad to know I'm not doing too bad :) What you recommend about misting doesn't sound different from the sprinkling I said in my first post I do everyday, am I missing something? Ok, I'll let the leaf rest in peace... Some say to cut them when they are wilting for the others to have more energy, this one looks wilting but doesn't look dead yet to me... So I guess I should wait for it to be "dead"? I'll replace the upper soil layer as you indicate. I presume there's no need to wait for spring or any time to do this. One doubt though is that I read mixing soils could do more harm than benefit... Does this apply to "feeder roots top" soil? And if yes Is there anything one can do so that it doesn't become problematic?

I really like your sleek, modern kitchen. Those floor tiles are great. I like the linear suspension light, but maybe you need one with more presence? I fell in love with the Flos "Long & Hard" linear suspension lamp designed by Philippe Starck. I kept walking around it at the showroom. It is so slim and clean and simple, but really has presence, especially with the undulating silver texture. Not cheap, but it is lighting and art in one, lol. The name is a bit much, but it is one sexy fixture. The Artemide Talo suspension in silver/gray is also cool, and a bit less expensive. Here is a link that might be useful: Long & Hard

Well, the plot thickens here. Actually, I have a partial answer to my problems. The pieces on the right are all the red TC that has been struggling so much. It came apart while I was inspecting at it. There were mealies on it. The plant to the left is the same pot this red one was in. Those plants look OK. This is the first time I have seen the mealies. Don't know which came first - mealies then the decline or the decline followed by mealies. At any rate, I am sure the other plants need to be treated. You can see that the potting mix looks dark. I also think that the bark has decayed and now is a compost. That is probably ruining drainage, too. I have found bark only last about 18 months for me. So I'll treat for mealies and repot and hope for the best. I did get a seed pod from the red plant, so here's hoping I can grow some more of it. It is a bright scarlet plant and I hope I can salvage something. I hope your repot takes care of your CC problem. And I hope you don't find any mealies. They have been bad here this year.
