I would stay away from the yellows with the color of your stucco. Here are a yellow, an amber, two shades of green, and a teal-ish blue:

IMO the only thing that really works for your home is the black door. New paint on the front door is not going to fix what's wrong with the curb appeal of this house.

All the other colors are random......the stucco is too pinkish, the yellow stones don't even look natural, the decorative stones are coco brown. If you simply adjust a few items the house could look so much better.

• Paint the house a more neutral stone color
• Stain the few yellow stones dark charcoal
• Replace the decorative stones
• Add some window panels to the top of your garage door.
• Maybe add some landscape lighting

I would choose a dark red for the front door, and paint your garage door the color of the house. It will enlarge the look of the home itself. Add taller shrubs under the large window that come up near the bottom of the window. Cute house.

I love Beverly's mockup. The black door looks nice, but you could still do a color that appeals to you. Changing the colors in the stone makes it easier. The garage door with windows is a big improvement IMO.

I would change the front door to a dark gray like your roof. I also like the olive green
groveraxle suggested (third one down.)

The garage door would look better with a window panel. I think the stone wall is interesting.

Bev has great suggestions. To my eye, currently the black door adds consistency and ties together the black mailbox, railings and even what looks like a charcoal grey (or black?) roof. The gold-orange stones in the retaining wall really jump out. I love groveraxel's suggestion of improving the landscaping. Also, keeping the front door for now and consider upgrading it in the future along with an upgraded garage door. That looks great.

You could just paint the front door grey. But if you are going to paint the whole house, paint the garage the same color, like the example above.

NO! to a black garage door. Why on earth would anyone want to draw attention to a garage door??? It should blend in, since it's already too prominent.

Plus, it's exposed. And if it faces south or west, a black color (or any really dark color) will cause it to overheat in the sunlight and rapidly destroy itself (and overheat the garage and it's contents).

Positron Positron, most often garage doors are painted the same color as the siding because you don't want have the garage door as a focus point. But since you are doing white on the trim, you could keep the garage door white as well.

A darker gray will work with your roof. Just make sure they have similar undertones. Your roof looks like a cool gray, so stay with cool grays for the body of the house.

Positron, there's a rendering of a lighter gray from 4 hrs ago. Do you want a really light gray? Here's a much lighter gray with white garage.

I like the light grey and the white garage door.. I'm thinking of this pallette with the lighter yellow on the front door.

Thanks, groveraxle! There are actually two trees that are appearing to have fused together in this pic lol. We are keeping them because they offer excellent privacy without blocking our views of the Bay.
