I was going to ask the same thing, LisaD. The Rockport Gray is gorgeous. Not seeing navy with it, though.

Take a look at a deep color like pottery red. Not sure I see navy with it...it'd have to be a brighter blue, I think.

Thank you all so much for your ideas. Here is the architect's rendering. I am not sure what the style of the house really is. It started as "urban farmhouse," but I am not sure that's where it has ended up. :)

Unlike the rendering, the windows are white, not black, and the house will be Rockport, not white. I will try to take an actual photo tomorrow.

As for door colors, I definitely want something contrasty. I prefer blues and greens--even black--to red or orange. Could I do more of a peacock shade if navy doesn't work?

I think you definitely what lighter color with that door because of it being set back so far and under the porch roof.

I think a red would be great with the Rockport Gray.

Honestly, I think a white door with black hardware would be beautiful with the Rockport Gray. Really sharp.

Love the idea of a deep marine blue.

I like the idea of blue, or green, much more of a statement than a neutral, imo.

If you've already made the choice, I wouldn't question or change the color of the exterior. Not trusting your choices once you've made them will leave you with regrets later. If it were me, I would wait to pick a door color until I come across something I really loved. You may even want to wait until you have your landscape in to see what flowers colors you end up with and use them to influence your choice. Painting a door is pretty easy and can be done any time and white (the color of our door) isn't a bad option either. :c)
