Need help with master bedroom window treatments
Comments (6)Love the Shoei pocket door! I am assuming you wish to keep the minimalistic look for the space. I would go with fabric roller shades inside and against the window, for reasons of simplicity and function and cost. You could go with light filtering or opaque. You would still be able to use the window sill for a decorative object or two if you wish - something that you would not be able to do with shutters. You mention wishing to block noise. If noise is an issue then cellular shades would help a bit more. Get ones with "fingertip lift" so that there are not tangle-y cords laying on the window sill or trailing down the wall when they are up. If you wish to maximize the view out, since the windows are so small, keep in mind that cellular shades will still block about more of the window than a roller shade will when up....See MoreNeed help picking window treatments for Master Bedroom
Comments (9)This is pretty much the furniture layout, due to doorway one wall with bathroom door same wall on other end. Closet door on another. I tried moving the furniture around including angling bed in corner. I once had the bed on the wall to left of bed, but that has one window as well & it looked more awkward there with no room for side tables. I would consider painting the furniture, eventually, but that is a big job with so much more else to be done. I can live with it for now. Just need suggestions for the curtains....See MoreMaster Bedroom Window Advice
Comments (3)I would only do the flanking windows if it were me. Plenty of light from those two units. If you want to do a transom type window above the bed, that would work as well, but I think it is mostly unnecessary....See MoreHelp! Need advice. Hardwood or carpet for a master bedroom?
Comments (12)I'm excited to install all LVP throughout our house. This is the first time we've had hard floors in the bedrooms. I like the opportunity to decorate the room with a large rug rather than having to stick with the same neutral carpet forever. I would caution that the cost of a quality large rug for even a queen size bed is costly and then most of it's underneath the bed so we're looking for something affordable if it ends up being a basic design....See MoreJennifer C
