Where locally might I find Potassium bicarbonate?
Comments (5)Since Cornells research indicated that Potassium Bicarbonate was a bit better than Sodium Bicarbonate some garden suppliers have been putitng it out there packaged for gardeners, but you still have to search for it since the stores selling garden suppliies are not always going to stock a new item unless there appears to be a large demand. I have not seen any on the shelves of the local stores but then I do not spend much time in those aisles because there are things there that will induce an asthma attack in me....See MoreWhere might I find & buy...
Comments (6)Thanks Purple.....you're probably dead right. I'm a bit embarrassed, but the reason I wanted it was BECAUSE of the name 'Tuatha.' The Tuatha de Danaan are a semi-mythological people who were the first invaders of Ireland way back in prehistory. There are legends galore about them. They were the Celt's (when they in their turn invaded) 'little people.' Fairies, etc. People certainly lived in Ireland before the Celts brought their war winning innovation, the chariot, to conquer it. Whether they bear any resemblance to what the stories say is.... unlikely. But exist they did. I am a hopeless history nerd, and while Ireland is definitely not one of my main areas of interest I have read a fair amount of that troubled isle's history. Not to boast, but I've read a good bit on just about any European people you'd care to name. Early Modern Europe, the HRE and Byzantium are my main areas of interest, though. Thanks! Comments (17)Thanks folks! Sorry I might have been misleading. The link to the photo album is from a fellow conifer gardener. I wanted to show his album as he does a superb job of intermixing conifers. He is in KC. All the photos in this post are mine though!lol!. #1 = Thuja occidentalis 'Congabe' aka Fire Chief. #4 = Chamaecyparis pisifera 'Snow' #5 = Tsuga canadensis 'Moon Frost' #8 = Picea pungens 'Fat Albert' #11 = Picea orientalis 'Atrovirens' What I now love about conifers is that that there is SO much out. Different sizes, shapes, weeping, swaying, climbing, arrows, texture, color and the list goes on. Its almost as if they are blooming in May and June when they push new growth plus you get color all year! There are even some that turn gold during the winter months. I'll be sure to post pics as the landscape evolves. Purples, whites, reds and pale yellows will likely be choice color daylilies when mixing them in. Lime Frost will be the first to go in in the next couple weeks....See MoreWhere can I find Windsor chair(s) that looks like this?
Comments (2)Laura, That's an English Style Windsor rather than American. Sort of a hybrid as most English ones are heavier and bulkier than yours. I specialize in Windsors and haven't seen one like that before. Might be difficult to find. Duane Collie...See Morepurrus
