I'm grateful for a dear friend who's leaving today for a conference in Scotland. We caught up yesterday evening, and she's worked hard and come so far in her career. She was awarded a grant to be able to attend the conference and is extending her visit and flying her son over to explore the country. I'm happy and excited for her.

Right now I'm grateful that the police kept us informed even though we didn't get all the answers about our nephew.

I close on my house refinance on Monday (son and I are already spending (in our heads) the money from the cash flow that's created). This was so much easier and far more helpful than financing the house. Exciting!

I'm grateful for my house that keeps me warm and cool and dry and clean and comfortable. As I raise the shade each morning, I often think how I have to look out the window to see the weather, unlike our furry and feathered friends who have to live in it, whatever it brings.

I say this as I watch the snow falling.

I'm grateful my arthritic hands don't hurt and still work......am busy crocheting an afghan for my cleaning girl....She just got married on the spur of the moment a week ago. Hope to have it done before next visit.

A little thing for me, but feels great! I am having a usual day today, doing normal activities. The last couple of days, especially yesterday, were so hectic and I ate poorly and didn't exercise like I usually do. So even doing laundry feels wonderful!

We were hit with a Spring storm, what the news is calling a "bomb cyclone" snow storm. I'm grateful we were only without power for 5 hours. When the power did come on, we had no heat. It's radiate floor heat. Grateful to the prior owner who left us a spare($200) relay panel(we're guessing one of the relays was fried). Once installed we had heat! YAY!

Grateful to have an unscheduled day and the time to catch up on a few things that have been hanging over my head.

I am grateful I got my money order funds back that had gone missing. I am grateful for my Father's insistence that I always should get as much info as possible when trying to solve a problem (an insistence that was annoying when I was much younger) which led me to reviews where people said that they too had problems with missing funds at that branch of my credit union..

I am grateful for Chase Bank and all the free cookies I took advantage of while starting my new account with them this morning.

My brother in law built a cannon....which after his death came to us. Since we have no use for a cannon, put it in a friend's shop, and it sold yesterday. A thousand dollars...quite a bit of which goes for hay for my horses.

My special needs sister who lives in a Home fell on Monday. Fall was bad enough that she had to be sent to the hospital. She's pretty banged up but so far no signs of long lasting problems. Also my federal refund was direct deposited to my bank yesterday. A good week.

I'm grateful my very stubborn cousin is finally getting the home care she needs - physical therapy and occupational therapy. At age 85, she was going to die soon if she didn't do something, and she would not listen to me. She now has a new doctor and is listening to her.

Very grateful, I am able to walk without any assistance and almost pain free. Amazing what 10 days can do after you fracture your patella.

This week, we have a new grandson Miles, induced 2-3 weeks early because his mother was having blood pressure problems. We are grateful that our DIL came through a very difficult labor healthy and with such a delightful bundle of joy. I am waiting for this bad chest cold to be over before we can see our caboose.

I didn't have to go to the dump today
