It looks a lot like the fungal disease Cercospora. The reason all the spots are not round, because the Bayer spray has interacted with the disease. The Bayer Advance spray is a systemic type which means that in a perfect garden, in a perfect world, it should be used as a drench around the base of the rose and the canes take it up slowly. Then the leaves wouldn't get such a strong mixture. I know it says you can spray but new leaves are very tender and so you have got a reaction. Or it could be the mixture was not correct for the roses.

i mixed the solution according to directions. So I hope, that wasn’t the issue. So should I hold off spraying again or....what are my options?

i chose the bayer advaced due to posts on Houzz as best option to ward off black spot, which is a very big problem for roses here.

I would hold off and see if the next new growth is cleaner. Bayer is a fungal spray so it shouldn't have damaged the roses. I see the label is for flowers and other plants. What would worry me is that it is also for insects. I think it may also kill bees. I know that anything labelled as an insecticide, is going to have a chemical that is stronger than a fungicide. Some roses are naturally too sensitive for sprays and will re-act. This not the first time I have heard of roses not liking the Bayer spray. If you try it on another rose and get the same re-action, perhaps it is too strong for some of your roses. Try deleting it a little ands if that works better.

That happened to me before and it was temporary. I removed all the infected leaves and trashed them in a plastic bag as to not keep spreading it around, the new foliage was perfect and I continued my regular spraying (every 2nd week for blackspot). Queen of Sweden is actually one of the most blackspot resistant roses from David Austin in my yard and she does very well with minimal spraying, so I skip her most of the time. Please remember to rotate your antifungals and not use the same ingredient too many times in order to help avoid resistance.
