How can I redecorate bathroom with green faux marble floor tiles?
Comments (28)The tile is vinyl...she can't paint the "grout". To me wall color reads a little too much on the blue side, it needs more of a yellow undertone to go with your tub & vanity top. I think the clean white can work for trim and vanity, but only if you bring in more of the creamy/tan colors. I'd just stick with a fairly monochromatic theme-no prints because then you're really stuck with a 'theme'. You can bring in a print with wall art. I'd go more with texture than print, however. In our main bath reno, we have the same tub configuration. We put in white/gray marble tiles with a light grout. The tiles have a touch of tan in them also. I went with a blue wall color-reminiscent of beach glass, and all white trim. We put up beadboard on the ceiling where there used to be a flurescent light tube box built in. I used brush silver accessories and bright white towels. For the shower curtain I chose a shimmery blue one from Ikea. I don't have a 'theme' other than ahhhhh=it's just very calming to walk in there. I do have a stone Buddha and a couple of small shadow boxes of Asian coins. In any case, I'd definitely get a different shower curtain-that one just does not work with your floor....See MoreHelp with condo curtains please! Lots of PICS
Comments (15)Ok, I stopped at Bed, Bath and Beyond tonight. They did not have the grommet curtains in-stock in the 95" but I can order them. Not sure about the color, though--the white is too white and the cream might be too cream. I bought this "Eggshell" Argentina Interlined Taffeta Pole Top panel to try. It has a lovely sheen and a very nice feel/weight to it. $49.99 per 54x95" panel. I would have them hemmed to just barely break on the floor. I hung it from rings because I don't like pole pockets, but can someone please tell me the correct placement of the clips?? There has to be a method to it... I bought a package that came with 7 rings/clips and used all of them. I also hung a grommet panel in a Champagne color that I love. It came from World Market. I don't think I can get it any longer than 84" though....See MoreLinen Curtains - Help!
Comments (3)Get a double curtain rod and 2 more Ikea panels. Stack them one on top of the other. Or, double up with a roller or Roman blind behind the "decorative" linen curtains. We have roller blinds on all our bedroom windows. I love how dark they get the room, that they stay cleaner than Roman blinds, and that you can still have your window cracked but leave the blinds mostly drawn. https://m.lowes.com/pd/LEVOLOR-White-Blackout-Cordless-Vinyl-Roller-Shade-Common-73-in-Actual-72-5-in-x-78-in/3726769 You can also check out Bed Bath and Beyond and use a 20% off coupon....See MoreHelp! Comments (5)in the kitchen the bulbs should be 4000K,,,nothing less than 3500. I happen to like all of my bulbs like that except a few table lamps. to be honest, the curtains are too short. even if you get the right rod and place it where it's supposed to go, the curtains will be too short. you have a nice dining area so I think you could jazz it up a bit. you don't have to spend a lot either. BTW, are those mini blinds staying?? could you just remove the blinds on the small kitchen window? I think you have too many. for the dining room, I'd go w/a nice roman shade. But if you want the white, try something like these and you'll want to hang the rod about 4-6" above your window. the bottoms should 'kiss' the floor this is the look you're after. try the woven wood blinds instead of the white minis. have you considered maybe doing some woven woods and then a white panel w/a subtle design? notice the rod height above the door frame, and how the bottoms kiss the floor. I love these types of window blinds instead of the mini blinds. look into silhouettes or pirouette or even zebra inset blinds...See MoreUser
