It is unlikely that you will find ready made curtains 91 inches long; you could get the 96 inch length and have them hemmed to the exact length you want. It is not terribly expensive to have curtains altered and the advantage is that if you put them up and measure them before sending to a seamstress, you can get the exact right length. And remember, you have to account for what the rings do to the calculation, if you use rings.

But that's not your biggest problem. It takes a fair amount of fabric to cover a 100 inch wide window - you need a width of at least 200 inches, or more depending on the look you are going for. And that's a lot of fabric to stack on the narrow sides of your windows when you open the drapes. Sheer fabric will stack in a smaller space than heavier, but it may not provide the degree of privacy you want.

I would use the same window treatment on both windows. Maybe voile grommet top sheers? Something like two of these on each window?

Thank you for the link! I love grommets. I think a sheer would give me the privacy I am looking for since I am on the 2d floor and face a small lake. You said you would use the same treatment on "both" windows but there are actually three. The DR window is 72" wide, the DR sliding door is 76 1/2" wide, and as you know, the LR sliding door is 100" wide. Alternatively, I looked in a "Country Curtains" catalogue that someone gave me and, surprisingly, they have an "Insulated Weaver's Cloth" tab-top curtain available in a 90" length, 160" wide per pair. They also offer it in an 80" width per pair/90" L which would work for the two in the DR. I don't need a lot of fullness because, with the exception of the LR door, they are just for decoration. 160" would certainly close at night and give me privacy and hopefully would stack back during the day w/out too much difficulty. I think Weaver's Cloth is pretty thick, though, isn't it? They also offer it in a Slider Panel but only offer 84" length. Nothing longer.

I don't like the look of tab tops - they seldom look as good in your house as they do in the photos (IMO), and they are not going to slide well for opening and closing. And you need to think about what shows at the top - you see some of the rod between the tabs and then you see what's behind and below the rod. Back tabs, on the other hand, are a smart idea, but still, the drapes are best left stationary.

Weaver's cloth has a nice feel to it, heavier than a sheer. Insulated weaver's cloth is probably even heavier. I imagine that you can order a sample from Country Curtains.

Ikea has a very inexpensive version of something similar to weavers cloth that you might like, Ikea RITVA. They call it white, but what I saw in the store was creamier.

Insulated weaver's cloth drapes will probably not hang in neat folds either when they are stacked, or when they are pulled shut, but rather in big, billowy flat-ish hunks of fabric. It may also be a much heavier look than you are used to in your pretty rooms. I think some kind of light sheer fabric will stack back into the smallest space, yet still be pretty and graceful when closed.

Do you have a bed bath & beyond near you? They have these really nice grommet style panels that would look great on your sliders with your furnishings. They are sorta of a linen texture. They carry them in a 95 or 95in length.

Ok, I stopped at Bed, Bath and Beyond tonight. They did not have the grommet curtains in-stock in the 95" but I can order them. Not sure about the color, though--the white is too white and the cream might be too cream. I bought this "Eggshell" Argentina Interlined Taffeta Pole Top panel to try. It has a lovely sheen and a very nice feel/weight to it. $49.99 per 54x95" panel. I would have them hemmed to just barely break on the floor. I hung it from rings because I don't like pole pockets, but can someone please tell me the correct placement of the clips?? There has to be a method to it... I bought a package that came with 7 rings/clips and used all of them. I also hung a grommet panel in a Champagne color that I love. It came from World Market. I don't think I can get it any longer than 84" though.

Hi, I like the champagne colour and you could add a band of colour to make it the exact length you want. Band could be at the bottom or at the top, under the grommets...just an idea.

That grommet one is too short, but Swags Galore has a 95" grommet. I have bought from them on several occasions and had no problem returning items.

Started buying from them because I live in PA and figured I could drive it back to their doorstep if necessary! (But it never was.) :)

The LR walls are actually SW Oyster Bay--it's a greenish-bluish-gray I guess? The couch is brown and the chairs are off white. Bassett calls the fabric "Linen," I think. Not white and definitely not tan. The DR is SW Portabello. I found a pair of grommet curtains that I am trying. I like how the eye is drawn further up than it is with the curtains hung from rings. Plus, the 95" grommet is not as long as a 95" which is hung from rings. Still too long but I could live with it for a while. The grommet curtains came from Bed Bath & Beyond and have a pattern so there is some texture to them. "always...." these may be the ones you were talking about. The color is "Ivory."
