Hi Roobear While I like the contrast of your dark trim against your pretty paint colors I can understand your dilemma. We just remodeled our bath and office and decided to change out the stained medium oak baseboard trim to white. Here is what we did that you might want to consider: Because the stained trim is narrow and I really like the look of a wider trim, we purchased MDF 5 1/4 inch pre-primed baseboard molding from Home Depot. It is very inexpensive and only needed 2 coats of paint. Looks so good that we are going to replace the hallway and master bedroom next. It really gives the rooms a whole different look, and if you are going to go to all the work of removing the trim, sanding, priming and painting you might want to consider an inexpensive and easy option. As for the windows. I painted them too. I left them open for a couple of days after and they seemed to be ok. The key it to make sure they are really dry before shutting the window. Good luck. Congrats on the new and pretty house! Interesting dilemma. My preference would be to not paint the wood ceiling (#6) The crown in the room without a fireplace starts and stops oddly. It and the corbels bug me so my inclination would be to have it removed or at least to paint it out along with all other trim in that room. Not white, but the same shade as the walls,just a different sheen. Or close to the same shade. I would also lower the TV. Are you keeping the carpeting? The pass through?

IMO there are lots of issues to be addressed in this room. The wall paint is not an issue currently. Assemble an actual conversation area of seating by including two lounge chairs That means sliding over the sofa with the chaise a bit Get rid of the Pop Art Flowers Select a canvas and can complement your sofa Lower your TV so it doesn't have to tilt to be seen Select some wall decor that makes a statement Select a larger patterned rug to ground your seating area. I like this first rug because it is both contemporary and a bit tribal

Waht is behind the wall on the left? IMO what ever it is there should be awindow there .Do the same trim on all the windows so like the one on the right. This is kind of MCM so do you want to go that direction? I think that left space was agarge wht isit now. IMO as long as the driveway goes there it will always look like a garge . I need to see a pic from further back to see if there is a way to change the parking. Post the pics here in a comment DO NOT start another post.
