I'm so addicted to A Million Little Things. My quirk (I should post it on the quirk thread!) is that I like to savour good tv shows. I don't want to run through them too quick. So I watch several at a time. It took us years to get thru White Collar because I didn't want to watch it all the time LOL.

We both lost interest in The Blacklist a few seasons ago, and I don't care to pick it up again. Is anyone here still watching?

I started watching 800 Words last week, and it too is very good.

One I started watching today is "Goliath" with Billy Bob Thornton. I see that it's been renewed for Season 3. AND my long-time favourite country singer has a starring role......DWIGHT!! Without his signature hat.....yep, he's bald on top. I recognized his voice soon as I heard it, and I knew it had to be him. I still love him :-)

I'm still watching The Blacklist. Missed the 2 hour episode last Friday. It's been a good season so far.

Hi Patti. I love the idea and concept behind your show. I realize this was just a "pilot" attempt, and perhaps you wanted to show a range of some of the things the show would like to cover, but I felt it was way too light on substance. Now, if you were to do one show with just two subjects, and maybe a third, small segment on something quick - tips, viewer ideas, etc., that would be a lot more interesting and informative. Again, I'm guessing that here you wanted to show a range of subjects and that when/if you do a true episode, it would indeed be more substantial. I would also love to see more of your background - I found myself wanting to see your house, your yard, your neighborhood - since it deals with sustainable urban agriculture, I wanted to see your surroundings to get a feel for exactly what situation you were in, and to be able to adapt that to mine. Again, this is something that perhaps you are planning on doing in any future shows. I thought you had a very good on-screen presence, good speaking, good voice projection and liveliness - you seem quite comfortable in front of a camera. Best of luck to you. Hubby likes The Bridge, it aired last year for the first time. We also like Flashpoint, which are both Canadian shows, filmed in Toronto. Another one which was good but not picked up this year was The Border (also Canadian).

I would like to see a Carol Burnett marathon on some station. I'd be glued to my seat all day and night, and so would DH. The skits with Burnett, Conway, and Korman were priceless. And the time Carol basically dared a young man from the audience to come up and sing, and he did, and did a WONDERFUL job with "What I did for love." And the time Carol had Beverly Sills on the show, and sang with her. Chills! A locked chord whenever I hear it still gives chills! As a kid, we didn't have TV. But later, I remember George Goeble's gentle humor, and Tennessee Ernie, and Perry Como. Yes, I miss the variety shows. Who knows what we'd see if that format was brought back? I don't even want to think about it.

Most ratings are now measured as Live +3, so if you watch your DVR's within 3 days of the first airing your viewing will count with the ratings. I don't pretend to understand the advertiser's demo specs, but the bottom line is the networks have to pull in enough ad revenue to offset their licensing fees, per episode. If it doesn't pay for them, they can't afford to continue to license the product. We don't like cancellations either, but it's the nature of the beast. HBO is one of the most prolific and expensive producers at the moment (GoT). Their inventory capital is primarily provided by subscription fees. Streaming and downloading are, AFAIK, funded through subscription sites or pay per view. Those fees replace the advertising revenue stream. The 15/16 season looks heavy on new medical and crime shows. Not much new in half hour sitcoms that I can see. Sorry your favorites are gone- we don't like to see them go either :(

I've given up on The Blacklist too...just wasn't doing it for me anymore, and I was really addicted. I love 800 Words!!!!! And, have watched Doc Martin's

latest episodes. I am getting hooked on more PBS shows now too.

I'm still enjoying The Blacklist. This season is starting out better than the last. My new gotta watches this season are Manifest and The Passage.

I just started 800 Words as my sister enjoyed it. Think I will too! Made it through all 6 or 7 seasons of A Place to Call Home. Quite the soap, but especially enjoyed the clothes.

New Amsterdam on NBC, I usually catch it on HULU.

I watched the first episode of New Amsterdam (maybe 2) and was not engaged. Disappointing because I really liked Ryan Eggold in The Blacklist. Maybe I will try it again. I've not watched the Blacklist this season yet either, but I have it DVR'd. I'll probably have to rewatch the end of last season to remember what is going on.

Not crazy about New Amsterdam. Gave up How to get away with murder. Love A Million little things and of course, This Is Us. I'm still watching Blacklist.

I've been watching The Closer lately -- I guess I hadn't seen it until the last 2 seasons so going through the first several is all new to me. I enjoy it - especially the way the working relationships are developing as the show progresses (something I liked about the spin off Major Crimes) - but the main character (Brenda) is more annoying to me now than when the show first aired!

What I really want to see is the followup series to The Alienist, Angel of Darkness. They've said they were going to make it, and some predicted it'd come out January. Here we are, almost to March, and no sign of it yet. This article says March or April

We too like to watch tv in our way, taking our time. We didn't jump on the Breaking Bad bandwagon until it was too late, but then recorded them all when they re-released for the 10 year anniversary. We really took our time watching them. So good.

We like Bosch on Amazon for a detective series. It has five seasons and was just renewed for a sixth.

We found an older miniseries with Frances McDormand that we really liked--Olive Kitteridge. It's HBO and I think we watched it on Hulu. The Amazing Mrs. Maisel and Aunt Lydia from The Handmaid's Tale have small roles in it too.
