Comments (32)Somewhere I do have some Idaho photos, but thought I would share this ‘gift’ my sweet niece, with help from her DH (and sometimes her 6 year old DD) is painting for the city. This building is scheduled for renovation sometime later in the year, but she obtained permission to paint this mural, primarily for the graduating seniors, but really for everyone to be able to take photos of just a piece of it to remind them of something joyful during this period as well. Comments (12)Green anole on my bananas a few days ago - they're an extremely rare sight around here now, tho they were quite common when I was a kid. Comments (15)Matate y Mano: a Matate (also spelled metate) is a stone with a concave upper surface used as the lower millstone for grinding grains and especially corn. A Mano is the stone you hold in your hand to crush and grind the grain. Used by our Native Americans, and some still use them. BTW, ”Mano” is the Spaish word for “hand”....See Morejim_1 (Zone 5B)
