Comments (15)Yesterday our Miata Club traveled to Shiloh National Battlefield in Tennessee. We hired a guide to narrate as we drove thru the grounds and it was very beautiful & interesting. He passed out a handout that included the information I am sharing below, something I never knew. I thought it was interesting, and thought mny of you would find it of interest too. Comments (22)My dad constructed this coffee table/bench back in the 1950s, from salvaged antique wood purportedly from a butcher's shop. It survived the hurricane storm surge, and I scraped and sanded off the old finish and oiled/waxed it. to the left is the Schuykill River Trail which is 120 miles long connecting several counties and ends in philadelphia. we walk sections often!!
to the right is 76, better known as Schuykill Expressway which is a misnomer since it is anything but an expressway!!

I found this on Thursday about noon.
The next morning, it was gone, but found it again later in the day in the pic below, lying in the dark spot to the right of the tree trunk. Kept watching to see if Mama came to collect it, but missed it. Apparently just before dark she did, as I checked at 8PM still there, at 8:10 gone.

6 years agolast modified: 6 years agoSomewhere I do have some Idaho photos, but thought I would share this ‘gift’ my sweet niece, with help from her DH (and sometimes her 6 year old DD) is painting for the city. This building is scheduled for renovation sometime later in the year, but she obtained permission to paint this mural, primarily for the graduating seniors, but really for everyone to be able to take photos of just a piece of it to remind them of something joyful during this period as well. It was cathartic for her. I wish you could read some of her own comments. She expects to be completed by Tuesday if not before.

I love Tulips 🌷I learned that if I put pennies in the water in the vase the tulips will stay upright and not droop and last much longer. It works great!

I have been to Idaho once on business, but there are no photos. So, here is a photo of flowers on an acacia tree in a local park.
6 years agoEmily, my very old dog. Not a great picture, she was running to come inside. I can never get a good shot of her face because she won't ever let me.
