Help me with finishing touches of my bedroom
Comments (9)I indeed noticed that your walls are pale blue. The art I posted has a lot of blue in it. The art you choose can be your inspiration point for completing the room. For instance, with this particular print, you could bring out the bluegreen or green of the picture & add a coverlet at the end of the bed to pull the colors into the room. I personally would avoid the ubiquitous blue/brown combination, while it is still a beautiful combo. But if that's what speaks to you, then perhaps this one that I've linked to is more of what you're thinking of color-wise. I would explore art.com for some great stretched canvas prints for over the bed, then choose your accents from that. ~Jeana Here is a link that might be useful: Wall Art...See Morefinishing touches in master bedroom
Comments (18)Are you sufficiently adept at sewing to add a band to the drapes to make then longer so you can raise them? I’m not a fan of dried floral floor arrangements. I would also jettison the candle/flowers on the dresser. They look a bit dated to me. I agree with the advice to move the chair out of the room. Whether you move it to another room or totally out of the house is your call. I like the pillows in celerygirl’s post. I think your bedside lamps and their shades are fine. I would put a lamp on the dresser, re-orient the mirror to off-center vertical, and maybe a tray with a pretty box or dish for rings, small family photos in pretty frames, and a small green plant....See MoreNeeding some finishing touches for craftsman bedroom
Comments (9)Re-posting the second photo suggested by tedbixby! The lamps are perfect for the furniture which already makes this a very special room. And the window suggests you could hang a similar piece of framed glass above the bed for a nod to your craftsman home. Perhaps more meaningful would be the suggestion of three rectangular prints, using photos you took on your trip . Or...how about three prints of individual flowers from Germany, one being the lovely edelweiss....See MorePlease help with finishing touches on my Southern home bedroom remodel
