Can you raise your drapes/panels? I personally like the neutral color but think going higher may help. Does the chair get used/have to stay? That's the one thing in the room that looks out of place.

Is there a color you'd like to incorporate? Euro shams in a rich slate gray or mossy green may help ground the headboard area. A lumbar pillow with texture (faux animal fur) in the front. Were you hoping to bring in that light blue color?

How's the general lighting in there? Have you tried "whiter" light bulbs in the lamps?

Art is much needed- but that's personal choices I think.

Just some ideas to get you started...

Decide you color scheme and then select good quality pieces to execute it.

This bed likely has plain sheets, but there is a good quality blanket or coverlet topped with a colored throw & European sized bed pillows and a variety of toss pillows.

Pick a color. You've got grey and tan in the carpet. A charcoal gray would complement the red in the wood of your bedroom set.

The drapes cant be raised because they just so dont touch the floor. The bulbs are quite yellow. Changing the bulbs is a great idea. I will attach a photo of the ensuite bath as well. The black chair is a massage chair. we have talked of getting rid of it. We use it only occasionally. The carpet has more blues in it than greens.

Artwork above the bed is a must.

Think outside the 'frame'. Textiles. Baskets.

OR unique antique pieces, like shutters

I see the need for a full length mirror but the one over the dresser seems like too much for such a small room.

I'd add some color for the throw, but you'll hate adding and removing a ton of throw pillows twenty times per day...

I love the monochromatic color scheme celerygirl has created or I would pull the grayed blue from the rug and use it the same way as the tans/beiges in celerygirl's suggestions.

I think this mocking up gives us proper color tones.

Vertically placed mirror gives the illusion of height. Would it make difference?

Are you sufficiently adept at sewing to add a band to the drapes to make then longer so you can raise them?

I’m not a fan of dried floral floor arrangements. I would also jettison the candle/flowers on the dresser. They look a bit dated to me.

I agree with the advice to move the chair out of the room. Whether you move it to another room or totally out of the house is your call.

I think your bedside lamps and their shades are fine.

I would put a lamp on the dresser, re-orient the mirror to off-center vertical, and maybe a tray with a pretty box or dish for rings, small family photos in pretty frames, and a small green plant.

i have never considered hanging mirror off center... would you hang it to the right or left? where would the lamp be?

Knee jerk reaction is to hang the mirror to the right and put the lamp on the left. Then the lamp would brighten the corner. Or leave the mirror in the middle and add 2 lamps, one on either side. I like lots of light and I can’t stand overhead lights. I’ll flip them on for a minute or two if I really need to do something like match socks, but generally I leave the off.

I have arranged afew items on dresser. I would like to find a lamp and eliminate the grouping on the left. does anyone see anything else that should be rearranged?
