Dining Table - Need advice on table top and leg finishes

Yesterday we purchased this 96" x 42" dining table and today we're having a bit of buyer's remorse. We like the form, but are struggling with the choice of going light or dark with its finish options.

We ordered it in a white painted open-grain mahogany top with polished-nickel legs. It's also available in dark rosewood with antique bronze leg (looks almost black). The sides of the solid wood top have a carved 'undulating' play on live edge - but more refined.

Our chunky crystal chandelier shown in front of the sofa below, also in polished-nickel, will be hanging over the table. The sofa is about 16 feet away, opposite the dining area in the very large great room. (My drawing shows an oval table, not this table - drawing is just meant to show the space). Final photo below is taken from the sofa and shows the dining area.

The thing is, this chandelier is more glitzy-glam than anything we would normally put in the house. Our style is more urban-relaxed than uptown-dressy. But we loved the juxtaposition of the masculine design in a crystal chandelier and thought we might downplay the dressy look by pairing it with a few more masculine, warm furniture pieces.

Then we found this table and thought it would play well in white/nickel with the chandelier, the white molding throughout the room, white shaker style interior doors, and the decorative columns already in the room. (Before anyone goes off regarding the columns, yes, we do wish we had removed them during our extensive remodel - but we didn't, and with the budget now exceeded by well over 100%, it's just not an option at this point).

Now we're second-guessing the decision to go with white and nickel, thinking it might be too much white and the chandelier may be too matchy-matchy for the table. We're envisioning upholstered chairs in a warm color, if that helps.

I'd love to hear opinions on the table in general and our finish options.
