where should my hvac vent go?
Comments (2)There appear to be 2 logical options. If your joists below are running vertically as pictured, you can extend (or reduce) the vent run and install a toekick register under the vanity. If the joists run horizontally, a toekick under the storage cabinet would work. If you have open/furniture style storage, you can just move the vent back to the wall. As long as the vent is low enough to push the air under the unit, you should have no issues....See MoreKitchen Lights - Where Should they go?

When I am feeling let down about a decision I made, I have to kick myself and remember how lucky I am to have a brand new kitchen. Comments (3)In my view (preference) the lights should be in the ceiling where they can illuminate the counter tops and be outside the user's direct field of view unless he looks up. Shadows from objects and users should be kept in mind. However, this seems to best apply to more conventional 8 - 10 foot ceilings. I suppose pointable light housings mounted to exposed beams might work in a cathedral configuration. In addition, small lights under cabinets will help. I'm surprised that your electricians would bid on a job without an electrical plan....See More- 5 years ago
