Snowcat: Our furniture arrived this morning from Elite Furniture. Everything is perfect!!! I got a call last week from someone at Elite that the furniture would be here this week and she said she would call again this week to give me a firm date and time. She called yesterday and told me the truck would be here between 8am and noon today. A big "Hancock Transport" truck arrived about 10:30am. The guys were very pleasant. They were careful while un-crating the furniture and equally careful bringing it into the house. I felt as though I was "holding my breath" as they unpacked the furniture. I checked all the drawers and doors. I tried to check everything I could think of while they were still here. Everything looks perfect. Overall, I have to give Elite a 10 out of 10 points. They delivered in about 7 weeks when they said it would be 8-12 weeks. Their price was better than anyone we called or checked with locally. They were careful with the delivery of our new furniture. Save your time and money, go elsewhere! I ordered from them and they gave me a great price, very nice. After a month, I checked in and furniture still hadn't left them. Took them 2.5 months to get it to me and when it arrived it was BEAT UP, broken, scratched, discolored, and they just took it out of the box and left (leaving a MESS!!!). There is literally a door hanging from one hinge. I have called and emailed A MILLION times. The delivery guy even noted the damage before leaving, but still NOTHING from them. It has been over 4 months and I have very expensive beat up junk sitting in my beautiful home taking up space and not put together. They won't return my emails or calls and yet they had no trouble taking my $5000! They are AWFUL!!!!! They never answer the phone either, you have to leave a message so they can return just the phonecalls of people that want to give them more money!

I have ordered from them a few times... Let me start by saying they were very eager to please and correspond with me. I live in WI and mail here takes FOREVER. It took a month or more for my orders to get here (with the exception of one order that took 2 weeks for some reason). All orders were packaged immaculately and the plants were HUGE. After a month of travel though the plants were rotting in the box. They were very kind to send replacements and I was able to salvage cuttings from everything except hypolasia (which is a pain in the fanny anyway). I think the more robust leaved species do best and anything with thin leaves is a gamble but I am always game to try! Hope this helps.

So sorry to hear about your misfortune, Jenny. There is actually a much longer thread about this site. It is disreputable and most likely illegal in every sense: either a phishing scam, CC skimmer, or identity theft site. I don't want to sound alarmist, but I would seriously consider having your bank disable the card you used and issue another one for the account with a new number, and the same for a CC if you used credit rather than debit. Tell your bank or credit card company that you fear your card has been compromised. Reference this thread and the one I'll give a link for below. If you have any automatic payments set up with that card, you'll have to go to each account and change your debit/CC info before your next payment is due. Also don't forget to change the number on any site where you store your payment info for quick checkout, like Amazon, etc. Again, so sorry. Best of luck. antiqueroses.com scam site John
