Terri makes me cry - in a GOOD way!! :)
Comments (31)Oh you lucky duck. I was the recipient of Terri's Tayberry Jam and boy do I wish I had more. It is fantastic. Enjoy -- but eat it slowly. You'll be sad when it is gone. I have a "Made by Terri" apron, too! I use it all the time. The handiwork on it is lovely. How thoughtful that Terri made one for MacKenzie, too. And a summer dress! I think I remember seeing her dresses on Chance, too. What a lovely and thoughtful swap box. Ann matched up two very special people....See MoreMy new 2x2 tiled shower floor is making me cry
Comments (20)My brand new master shower does not have a pre sloped pan. They also had a very hard time sloping my mosiac tiles during install(long thin tiles). It looks/works fine now, please tell me it does not need to be redone... If it's new construction and does not meet code, I'd want it to meet code. You'll get a better shower and the installer will learn to follow code. Or you can leave it as is. You may not ever have problems...or you may have problems. The irony? I'm not a tile guy like Bill. Yet I still know code. Why do Bill and I know code? Simply because we're professionals. He in his field, me in mine. We didn't flunk out of cooking school, or get fired from our jobs at the factory, or flunk out of college, and decide as an alternative to set tile or build houses. And if we had flunked out of cooking school, that's cool...as long as we learn about our new job before we pick up a margin trowel and bust open a bag of thinset for the first time. I'd say close to 70% of people in construction build incorrectly. That's inexcusable. When I buy a new car I shouldn't have to learn about internal combustion engines and then visit the plant to make sure the line guys are building my car correctly. It shouldn't be that way in construction either. Sad. Getting off my soapbox so I can go decorate the Christmas tree, Mongo...See MoreThis 'EB' makes me want to cry....
Comments (7)Oh Dear God.... I've fallen into a "cute" category now.....has it come to this?!!?!? ;-) I've seen YT vids of one going INTO A LAKE in Texas!!! Not sure what the moron was doing to cause it! It was all over the automotive news a while back! I think a British show "Top Gear" had one of their staff driving it on the famed German Nurburging-track....AT OVER 200 MPH....and he said it was so steady feeling, it was like he was in his living-room chair!!!! All four Turbo's at full song.... Some Ferrari's get pretty shaky well b4 that I think he mentioned.... Cyn- You sound like a Woman after my own heart...;-) Emag- I've been into Cars and machinery since I could form thoughts I believe!! As a little kid on the farm, big/fancy machinery always captivated me! >>> Yes...little Faron had lots of Tonka-trucks, etc. in his big sandpile on the farm! Spent MANY happy hours in that sandpile! Even if I was walking with Heidi Klum in a miniskirt, and a hot car came by, I'd probably be leering at the car.....(if not blindly walking in its direction....) ;-) Faron...See MoreAnybody like a good cry at a movie??
Comments (6)I like mystery, murder, horror or similar as long as it isn't romance, usually fast forward the 'boring bits' as we call the kissing scenes, etc. Also love a good comedy, especially combined with a mystery, etc. Don't like silly comedies though. Wish they would put more good movies on tv though, usually have to go to the video shop to get a decent show and as we are out of town we can't just duck in if there isn't anything interesting on. TV seems to be full of reality (more like unreality - if that is a word) shows. I might start a new thread about tv shows....See More- 7 years ago
