That’s crazy. What do you think he did with the packages?

Well now he has a picture of the packages in front of a door and will probably declare he delivered them to the location. In reality no telling where they are now.

I think for one package, I don't know what would happen since he has photo evidence. But the apartment manager advised a call so, so far 5 of us have called Amazon to say that we did not receive our stuff.

I think he just did not want to deliver them to the individual apts, if he wanted to steal them he would not have brought them to her office.

That's not Amazon, it's the carrier. They ship somethings by USPS and some by UPS.

Depending on the location, I think Amazon has some of their own delivery people

I received my order today, right on time, and delivered to my front door. They do a pretty good job in my area.

We have them now. Even come with an Amazon Prime van. Do the packages still say delivered? Last week I was expecting some packages. The mailman handed me 3 at 4:44. I checked on the one missing and the status said at 4:55 the customer was not available and to contact the post office for pickup or redelivery. I figure he realized he missed one 2 roads later and didn’t want to go back. He delivered it the next day without me calling the office.

I had a package delivered the other day by an amazon driver. I watched his GPS as he got nearer and nearer my house, then I started walking out to the driveway, and he drove in just as I got there, perfect timing. Love being able to see them on GPS as they approach.

Watching the Amazon vans sitting at red lights, look out! They race through them. I haven't had any problems with deliveries here, just to other addresses. We saw three vans run the same light on Sunday.

Iris they still say delivered but Amazon is refunding me. I realize he was probably overworked and overwhelmed, but the way he handled the issue trying to force the apartment staff to deliver was not appropriate in my opinion.

I thought maybe he changed it to undeliverable or something and took them back to wherever he picked them up. I mean if he just tossed them somewhere or kept them he sure is out of a job.

Did all my shopping with Amazon Prime. No problem. Have an excellent ups carrier. Sorry you have problems :o(

Guy needs to lose his job. I love Amazon. Had been craving persimmons for a few weeks now. Found some on Amazon from California. They were supposed to come on Tuesday or later, they arrived Saturday, four days early! They were frozen solid because it was 19 degrees that day and didn't get home until 9 pm but they were fine. I'm doing all my Christmas shopping through them again this year. I never use Amazon Prime, think it's a waste of money. Even when they say it will come in a week's time, it always shows up early, sometimes in just 2 or 3 days. Unless I order something from China...but then I know not to expect it quickly.

I'd be interested in knowing who the carrier was. The only carrier I've had problems with is OnTrac. Never with UPS or USPS. OnTrac dumps the packages anywhere to avoid having to climb up the 5 stairs to my covered porch. They leave them outside the gate, regardless of the weather. I told Nordstrom that I will no longer order from them if they continue to ship via OnTrac.

Olychick I don't know who delivered it. Usually when it is AMZL the tracking says so, this time the first 3 letters of the tracking number were TBA so it was not any of the major carriers. I'm thinking it was a completely independent service.

Most of my Amazon orders show up quickly and with no issues, so I don't want to sound like I am dissing them, because for their size their service is extraordinary. But this was definite out of the ordinary as far as delivery goes.

I would try to find out who the delivery service was and report the incident and tell them what the delivery guy did. He should either be fired or given a good talking to with a warning of losing his job if that happened again. It is his job to deliver to the apartment, not the office! I would be livid if that happened to me. Think of the people that are waiting on Christmas presents and item that they really had to have...what good is a refund!?

Why can't Amazon just send a replacement? So then you have to reorder?

Just had a tool set delivered/dumped on the end of our driveway next to a snow bank. (the box was white too) A UPS delivery. Luckily we'd gone for a walk and found it when we returned......otherwise.....Spring thaw?

Sorry you had a problem, Lucille. I agree, why didn’t Amazon send you the replacement rather than you having to reorder. It happened to me once when I didn’t get an order. I guess they have so many suppliers they want you to reorder rather than have some staff on hand to do that for you.

What is annoying to me is they don’t acknowledge the problem with their driver. Maybe they will investigate and you won’t ever hear about it.

In my experience, talking to carrier companies is not fruitful. I usually get some soothing BS and that is it. Sometimes it is like they are actually reading from a page. "We are so sorry blah blah blah."

They will look and see that the item is tracked delivered and then their incentive to listen to me will vanish.

I told Amazon the story and since they refunded me they have skin in the game. They are far more powerful, if they have (at least) 5 shipments they have to refund in one place in one day, I think THEY are going to do something immediately prior to the next day when that driver might not deliver 5 more shipments. And it being Christmas time I bet some of those orders were a lot more expensive than peanut butter.

My last 5 or 6 deliveries have all been USPS and the delivery person put they were handed to someone. None of them were. I think it was just laziness on their part to keep using the same line, but it bugged me enough to contact Amazon. I told them (via chat) I just wanted them to be aware of them doing this. In the future if one of my packages turns up missing, them stating they handed it directly to someone would make it sound like I was lying.

The customer service rep agreed they shouldn't be saying that and would make a note of it. Guess I'll see the next time I get a delivery... which will be today or tomorrow as I order quite frequently! lol

USPS delivered Amazon pkg last wk, pkg was open left in mailbox at street. Feel lucky it was in sealed plastic bag. Feel lucky to have gotten the gift.

We live on an acreage in a rural area. For the most part, I have had nothing short of excellent service getting my parcels here and on time and right on the doorstep. This is important to me as I can’t drive right now due to two hip replacements . However I’ve had a few exceptions one being a few years ago I ordered an iPad for my husband for Christmas and whoever delivered it just must’ve flown it out the window to the end of our snow covered driveway and it landed in the ditch in the snow . Luckily we got home before the snow started again and I was able to spot the package and had to slog through the already deep snow to retrieve it. Thankfully it wasn’t damaged . And as I said for the most time packages come right to the door which is great but the odd time if I haven’t made it to the door fast enough they will take the package and drop it at the post office for me to pick up This is a huge inconvenience for me because I have to get my husband to pick it up on his way home from work which also means he has to leave work early as the post office closes before he would normally get there .

I purchased something through ebay, and just today got home from work to find the package sitting in the middle of our driveway, about 3/4 of a mile from our front porch.

As I anticipated, Amazon took care of this particular problem. I had another delivery yesterday by the same TBA tracking, whether it was the same company reformed or a different one I don't know, but not only was the package delivered to my doorstep, but in the tracking info Amazon provides, there was a picture of my door with the package in front of it.

I think it would be a very good company decision on their part to require a picture of every delivered item showing where it was delivered. While some carriers might not have a problem throwing stuff on Bob's driveway 3/4 mile from his house for instance, I bet those same carriers would not have the balls to send a picture of that package in the road to Amazon (or Ebay), I think it may become an industry wide requirement.

I meant to check to see what delivery company delivered the package. I suppose if it was some freight company in a giant semi truck, I'd rather they leave the package in the driveway than get their semi stuck in our driveway like happened last year, and which did a few hundred dollars damage. At least the item I ordered was sturdy enough that if I (or someone else) were to have driven over it, it might not have even been damaged.
