Hello, I just purchased this home in Denver Colorado and love nearly everything except for the lack of curb appeal. I ideally would add a sprawling porch and a pitched roof to the front as well as remove the stone completely and make the windows bigger - but this is all too pricey right now. For the time being, I am hoping paint can help! I would like to play into the "plain-ness" of the house (block-like lines etc) by painting it a more modern color scheme. Maybe gray with a maroon door? Thanks in advance or your advice!

It was easy to paint your house on the visualizer from Sherwin Williams. If you want to blend the stone then draw a color from the stone.

If you want to draw the eye to the stone use a contrasting color.

When spring comes do something with the landscaping.

Get a larger porch light.

IMO this looks best when painted with a color from the stone , which BTW actually makes the house nicer in this case. I would paint the lightest color from the stone and a maroon door makes no sense with that stone so just leave the door for now. Landscaping will be what you actually need for curb appeal and I am not sure where a porch would go

Wow, thank you everyone who has commented. I sincerely appreciate your feedback. I suppose I will select a color from the stone and leave the door the color it is. Landscaping might be harder to dial-in - in a high mountain desert, that one I need to do research on(to learn what works/grows best). Thank you so much!

I would go with white/off-white color

I like celerygirls mock-ups. a more modern type of garage door would look great, as well as a new front door (or paint what you have. can't really see it)

you may be able to lime wash or stain that stone if you don't like the color
