What a day I had, but our world is filled with nice people.

Today we had to get our garage door opener replaced. For sometime we've been having problems with programming more than one remote and with the cold weather we have been having problems with our keyless pad. I bought a new keyless pad and three new remotes. My daughter got them all programmed, but an hour later, none of them worked, including the garage door. The last time we had it worked on they warned me that it was getting old (20 years). A man came out today to replace it. After testing it and looking it over he figured just one small part needed to be replaced, but after trying to program the remotes, he discovered that we would need a new opener. He installed a belt opener instead of a chain, but didn't upcharge me, he also gave me two free remotes since my quote had been just for one. He was super nice and helpful. About an hour after he left I ran to get gas and some groceries. I fill up on gas, get in my car and it won't start! I called Honda Roadside service, but since I am in my extended warranty, the only thing they would do is tow it. I ended up using my dh's AAA and the nicest man came and gave me a jump and tested my battery. We are heading to NM for Christmas, so he said to make sure we get a new one before then. Today was just proof that there are so many nice people on this earth. I appreciated deeply how helpful and nice they were today.
