Help! Beige/Tan bathroom paint color suggestions?
Comments (6)Thanks chefmom! I have to check out a swatch of Barely Beige in person but I think it might be a little lighter than what we want. I'm still loving Shaker Beige, but not sure it's the "right" beige for the colors in our bathroom. The same for Everlasting. I think the others I mentioned are probably too dark for a small space with little natural light. Please keep the opinions/suggestions coming! Thanks!...See MoreNeed a good tan/beige to go with teal accent wall
Comments (6)ilene-I looked at the shaker beige pics on the web and that's definitely in the ballpark. I wonder what the SW equivalent is? mpg-The next color darker from kilim beige is nomadic desert, another contender, thanks! Whatever I pick will likely go in a lot of the house (open floor plan) so I really don't want to hate it. I'm having pangs of buyer's remorse anyway! The house I'm leaving is mostly painted SW Eggwhite, a yellow-based cream with with all white trim. My eye is so used to that color that all these beiges seem dull or dirty to me. Funny, on another thread people were talking about how they thought yellow creams looked dirty. My eye must be skewed! The new house has this pretty horrible dark wood trim that I'm stuck with, and the yellow creams that I like look horrible (at least on the SW visualizer), definitely need more color. It's currently painted some light beige that looks super washed out in the open floor plan. And its a flat finish that will never work in my house with pets and kids (otherwise I might live with it)....See MoreBeige, Tan and Creme - oh my!
Comments (5)I actually use a goldish tan as a neutral in our home. I have found it to work well with alot of colors. I love a creme color upholstery, but for a sofa used often, I know it would not work in our home. Really, a goldish/tan works with most colors. I have blues and reds with it in the main living parts of the house, black and red with it in my hubby's study/office, off white slips in my sunroom with a floral print (pillows) and the gold/tan as an accent color (pillows, chair, candles) and use aqua and ivory with it in the master bedroom and bath. We've used a paint that is a very pale goldish shade, not yellow at all but reminds me of the glow of candles, very cozy. tina...See MoreBenjamin Moore paints: Manchester Tan vs Adobe Beige vs Everlasting
Comments (9)Thanks, all! I will be using it to paint older oak kitchen cabinets and maybe the walls of my kitchen, for a monochromatic look (will keep the white trim). My kitchen is in desperate need of a freshening up and I have heard trying to renovate right now with all of the covid delays is a nightmare. Hoping a coat of paint will buy us a couple years. Didn't want white, just something a couple shades lighter (and less orangy) than the oak. I will post the after pics when its done. Lenox Tan - I saw online how popular it is, with designers as well. I understand its a great color, too, and a bit deeper/darker....See Moremimimomy
