Need suggestions on curtains for family room
Comments (7)Congrats to you and your new little one!! I have been looking for curtains/drapes for my dining room slider and I have found some great choices on jcpenney.com and also country curtains.com. Your room is lovely and I think a colorful print would be great... it would be shame to cover all that beautiful moulding but there are inside mount valances or how bout a panel on each window with a tieback.. for example, left window with tieback to left and right window with a tieback to the right.. then the moulding won't be totally hidden under panels on both sides of the window...hopefully i am making sense.. and for the slider either a matching valance or a slider panel.. I have ordered panels for my slider from jcp that are backordered but should be shipped any day now.. My room is painted Behr winter wheat with white wainscotting on bottom half of the walls so I went with spicy red to add some more color to the room.. I'll post a pic when they come in.. I hope I was some help but most of all wanted to welcome you to this forum. I am quite new here myself and I am sure you will get some wonderful ideas from the amazing people on this site....See MorePlease help suggest a shower curtain to go with these pictures...
Comments (23)So far, everyone is liking option 3. If I go with 3, what color towels? Keep the aqua blue & add green towels or go with pink & green towels in pic 2? There isn't any blue in the shower curtain, so I'm thinking maybe I shouldn't use it...or is it alright? I chose the aqua blue towels at first because my oldest daughter is 13 & is alittle sick of pink by now! But she'll survive! LOL!! Thanks everyone! Almost there!! With blue & green towels: with pink & green towels:...See MoreCurtain color suggestions
Comments (33)JTL - Well, I'm glad to see that not everyone has had the same experience especially since drapes at JCP are suggested fairly often. Even though it seems like that's what they are, I just looked and there are no tags on any of the panels. It's been a few years but looking at the JCP website, they look just like the Royal Velvet Rod Pocket style. (Only I hung ours with rings). I must have bought a dozen different panels from several different stores. I kept the ones that were the closest match but they are still not perfectly even. I know for sure, the living room drapes are not Royal Velvet. They're unlined and are a linen like fabric with grommets. I loved the fabric they're made of and the color was perfect. I looked high and low but couldn't find anything similar elsewhere, that's why I ended up getting the longer panels and having them professionally hemmed. What really bothered me more than anything, was the manager's response to my frustration; how could a 4 inch difference in lengths be acceptable?...See MoreCurtain suggestions
Comments (2)I would want to add some color, so I see turquoise, I think, so I'd get that color. Could be solid but a print would be nice, maybe ivory and turquoise. While I prefer cotton or a cotton/poly blend, if you're getting readymades, you may not have much of a choice of fabrics....See Moretartanmeup
