I love all the unique ideas! Pushing the ottomans together won't work for me as one of them almost always has my husband's feet attached to it. I do occasionally use one as a table, using the black tray that is on the wicker toybox in the photo. When all the family gets together, the ottomans become extra seating. The rug was from Pottery Barn. By the time I made up my mind about it, it was discontinued, so I got it new on Ebay. It takes me so long to make a decision that I ususally find the trend is over and the items I like no longer in stock!

I love the coziness of your room and your colors. It is bright and looks very inviting. I just purchased a round coffee table ottoman for my home and really love it. I searched and got a deal. I scotch guarded the top to resist any stains. There are so many out there to choose from that are square, oval or round. What I like about mine is the ability to rest your feet on them, hold magazines, phones, or my laptop, and a drink on a book all at the same time. Also, I don't have to dust it or clean it with Windex. Mine has wheels and can roll if needed and one like that on legs would give some visibility to your beautiful rug. It can also hold 250 pounds so it could be used for seating if needed.

I agree with jck910..about the rug but if you want your sofa in the same place, TV should go on the left side of the fireplace. If you have room for your sofa to face the back wall, then put your TV on the right side of the fireplace. I am not sure how much room you would have with the door where it is if you put the sofa facing the back wall. My son has a corner fireplace....difficult to arrange furniture around one. As for coffee table, depends on lamps/end tables and etc. Wait for those until you get your small sofa, TV entertainment stand and etc.

Why not slide the rug and sectional down so it is opposite the t v and consider a new desk...take advantage of the view and natural light while you are working. Consider two ottomans. I think simple gray drapery panels like these would dress up the room.
